- knowing the Weekly candles and the Market Type

- you can day trade the H1 and since it was Friday Sep 10, Big E did not trade his 4hr but he would trade the NY session 2 to 3 hours..

- Sep 10 NY Open was a nice PCRF by Phx62

- there was the 3 bars swing high and you already know the weekly trade zones, it would have been easy trade decision once you know the PCRF by Phx62.

I got PM inquiry on how to setup the TMS chart on TradingView.

Stoch and 5ema are optional indicator and they are built-in indicator available on Trading View.

TDI Red/Green line: They are in fact RSI(13) MA(2) and MA(7), You can verify it by looking at source code of TDI Green Red .mt4 source code.
You can use the "TDI - Traders Dynamic Index by TuanLouis" by searching for this name in the Trading View Public library.

For HA candles, I recommend to overlay HA candles on traditional candlestick chart just like doing it on MT4.
To do so, search for "Heikin Ashi by Garethyeo" in the public library.

TradingView has one advantage of non-repainting indicators stays non-repainting, unlike MT4 where you need coding tricks to overcome it. Therefore, you do not need to follow #11 and refresh the chart everytime when new candle forms for correct analysis

on the first image it looks like you have an indicator TMS TDI (13, 0, 2, 7) Where would i find this on T View?

You won’t. You need to use “TDI - Traders Dynamic Index By TuanLouis”, which is in the indicator library. Those settings are 13,34,3,7 and need to be changed to 13,34,2,7. The 34 in that sequence refers to the blue volatility bands in the indicator, and if you wish to not see them, you will have to make them invisible in the settings. I tried to enter 0 in place of 34, but it automatically sets it to 3, which only contracts the blue bands closer to your red/green lines, and that is definitely not wanted. Hope this helps you.

great post on market types.My favorite is range market.I have been consciously altering my trades based on market types and do agree flexibility to adapt is key here.

You are correct.

if you want to remove any elements of the TDI such as the yellow line, you can uncheck the box of it under ‘visibility’ tab.

To only use the green red line and 32/50/68 level, you can check those 5 elements and change their colour if you wish.

Hi, you can follow 808’s suggestion and use the TDI tool which is free for public.

The one I am using is coded by myself to add some indication for TDI cross.

Using the public one has no different than my own TDI, you can see from the chart below where I put both on the chart

You went on MIA since mid-July. How is your trading progressing this year?

To know the trading pair Average Weekly Trading Range, I started posting the AWR(52) in Forex Fctory in Jan 2012.
It was simple start, using the MT4 standard ATR set to two periods - 52 weeks and 104 weeks, that is the 1 and 2 years.
Knowing these and the average of the two, I use that AWR for trade planning target profit. Simple and effective provided when you know the Market Type you are trading in.

Answer:

The way forward for new traders is to forward test both version starting on Monday Sep13. Place both versions on to your chart as your own forward testing chart
template.
on the price chart ... have the APB/HA candles and the 5EMA, Typical Price, Shift+2
in sub-window1 > Stoch (8,3,3)
in sub-window2 > the TDI RT (realtime version which updates on every price tick)
in sub-window3 > the TDI Post#25 ( this TDI updates the RSI green price line when the price bar closed)

Below is what my chart template looks like and you can compare both TDIs on this chart.
Note: both the TDI setting are the same, (13,0,34,2,1,7).

Using the TDI_Realtime, I have both the yellow MBL and blue VB to help look at the market conditions and to spot good trades and avoid trading into potential consolidation. I will explain with live market charts next week.

This years all the bank and experts are saying buy the gold buy the gold. You know what happen to them
Gold yearly target not yet hit, I am expecting it will move sharply towards the target.

I am not posting this for hasib as he has me on ignore. I am posting this for all the other traders trying to build a routine. I have to be careful as this information is not for everyone. Bank experts said buy gold. That is step one. There is more to that. A traders needs to wait until the fundamental is proven right by the technical view. If the fundamentals say gold will go up, then what should you do as trader who has structure? As I am not a certain troll who speaks in riddles to the unwashed, I will help you. I got inquiry on the TDI indicator

TradingView has one advantage of non-repainting indicators stays non-repainting, unlike MT4 where you need coding tricks to overcome it. Therefore, you do not need to follow #11 and refresh the chart everytime when new candle forms for correct analysis

The TDI green red lines are constructed using the following indicators
RSI
Simple Moving Average

Both take candle close value in the TDI. Once candle is closed, this candle becomes candle[1] and a new candle forms (candle [0]). The values of the green and red line for candle [1] are fixed.

Code execution logic of TradingView is customised for charting, so it can use the last tick data of the candle and recognise it as close price (of that candle).

MT4 on the other hand, use the first tick data of new candle (close of new candle at first tick) to calculate values for the candle[1], simply because the system needs the first tick data of the new candle to know a new candle forms, but unfortunately that tick is “closed price”. Solution would be following #11, refreshing the chart before analysis, or use other TDI indicators that has coded to use correct tick data. On mobile, can use built-in indicators RSI (13) and SMA (2)(7) to do the job. MT4 built in indi capture the correct tick data
