GBPUSD Sep 10 trade UPDATE FO 9am

- with FO 5.9 cross and I have my trailing SL at +3R,

- I can add one more position now.

- new TP to close Friday

The money I put into my last trading account ($10,000) I don't even think about it. It's like the money you take to Las Vegas. You hope to win but don't often... For me, that view you have with M30 is too coarse to make a good analysis for this example. I would go to lower TFs until I can see more of the details. M15 is still not very helpful, but M5 has enough detail to use some of the criteria such as
where is the last high?
where is the last low?
Is there consolidation nearby?
What is the trend, both on higher TF and this TF?
How many HA bars are already in the swing?

In addition, although BigE did not make use of it, the TDI green showing divergence to price is also useful, because the TDI is built from the RSI, which is in simple terms, a ratio of "upness" to "downness".

Indeed, BigE would be pleased that the thread itself lived on if it continued in the manner that he said he wanted it. But alas, it quickly was perverted into some unrecognizable beast with all of the things that BigE rejected: EAs, more indicators, ideas from other systems, and on and on.

I started at thread 1 but as you all know there are thousands.
Just continue from post#1 until BigE died. That is all the information needed. Most of the posts after that are garbage, especially from the last 3 years. After you reach his last post, search for tommydoginti in this thread and read all of his posts.

So many indicators are based on price input that it really makes little difference which one you choose from that grab bag: It is more about the settings that you select and understanding the information that those settings are showing you. I have posted before MACD, stochasitcs, RSI (TDI), various moving averages, etc., that all give essentially the same signals simply by adjusting their parameters.

But whatever indicators(s) you choose, it will not turn a "bad" system into a good one.

Just want to understand your goal would be, in the order of code execution.

1. price cross a price level
2. TDI cross within n bars after price cross level
2a. TDI green line slope
3. HA candle #1 or #2 upon colour change
4. candle size filter

1. Bool() to activate alert cross price level
2. Countdown system with manual code for new candle detection
2b. TDI green line value change btw candle[1] and [0]
3. Count up system to 2
4. Background calculation and bool() on tick or upon candle close

interesting idea. Something to practice coding but I code alerts on TradingView so... consider learning some coding?
