Imo, ask these who say that, for which specific setup is HTF more reliable and require an exact percentage of accuracy for that specific setup across different timeframes. They can also provide charts with evidence.

Otherwise, do not believe anything. Most courses, articles, videos, books and statements are just people repeating what they think they heard and never verified somewhere, sometime, if not just dream.

If that person tells you that the setup is related to weekly corporate reports against the last month's data; then it should be obvious why that strategy would not be valid for LTF. You always need context.

On the other side, I usually trade upon HTF structures. But these structures provide possible bias, not entry signals in my style. If I am on a daily support, then I won't be looking for shorts and I won't take any short as a high probability trade.

Even this thread talks about the convenience of delineating the TLs on HTF and then looking for analogue fractal PA in lower timeframes. M15 and M30, for instance, are good TFs for framing your M1 and M5 setups. Not to say D1.

It's important to differentiate between a trading system and a trading methodology. What engineer is showing is a way to read price action / orderflow (methodology) and, as such, this means that the 'setup' is valid on any timeframe because price action / orderflow is fractal. The only reason that a trader might favour a higher timeframe over a lower one is because they might, personally, find it easier to identify and trade off higher timeframes.

I would not take this without confirmation, but the level is valid in my opinion. Remember to use only demo accounts for strategies that you are not expert at. Also, do not try to be too precise and accurate, price is a dynamic element that needs certain space to evolve. All the charts are EU M5 and M1.

GBP/USD 5 min

First was buy and than it was sell. Daily Highs/Lows what I was watching out. Also market looks in consolidation in this area and was looking for downside from the beginning of the day.

Assuming it is going to fall and assuming it is not going to go up. Assuming everyone is using only demo accounts to test.

I don't know if it is going to fall or not, it is just an assumption to illustrate the orderflow in such case.

This is how I see it under that assumption that is not a prediction nor an advice of any kind.

However, notcie how you are only showing the part of the chart you want to sell. It would be interesting having available a wider chart maybe to verify the structures on the left.

There is a third trendline that coincides with the level at which price bounced off.

I missed this one however, because I do not like trading levels, I always try to find PA confirmation that, in this case, only allowed me to take a couple of scalps.

I need to work more on this, because when there is structure, the accuracy is really high. But the structure required is not that easy to spot all the time.

Good thread, I have always thought that the key to success was simplicity, unfortunately I have always complicated things ... this is gold from my point of view. What do you think?
