let's focus our time and energy in this thread to share knowledge and experience and hope these will help other new traders wanting to learn to trade and to trade with Big E' 5-Method.

for new traders, they first need to read, study and learn from Big E posts and learn everything what Big E mentioned in his 1485 post and do exactly what he said in Post#1 which is the the main reason why he moved his discussion from the Commercial Content forum to Trading System.

Q. how long time did Big E spent learning and trading until he could trade strip both his Stoch and TDI from his charts and he traded without the Stoch and his TDI? Post#2617

A: 10+2+3 ... in total 15 years.
I have not seen anyone with 1 to 2 years in this thread can achieve what Big E achieved. Some talk only and post only what look like winning trades from hindsight.

Price Action trading is a huge topic beyond the scope of this thread. But we can focus on Post#647 and learn a few things which we can apply when we look for trade setups as what Big E described in his Post#261. This Post#261 is the basics of the 5-Method. And this is what new traders have to learn, practice, practice, practice until they have mastered this. Post#296.

EURAUD Aug H1 trades closed.

- I jumped in before that 4hr 2AM candle closed.... aka 'Dynamic Entry' ... Synergy Advance 2.0

- I did not glue myself to my computer and monitor this trade. Just use THV CaveManager EA to manage the trade exit according to the rules of day-trading plan and my system.

- trade exits +25 pips +70 pips, stopped out by the CSTSL set in the EA while I enjoy my Friday evening here.

- keep it simple: no trendlines, no nonsense, etc. none of those 'extra crap' Big E mentioned.

Notes:

1) WRB and WCC are two different candlestick analysis.
2) Their names WRB and WCC were given by the traders who shared them.
3) Big E made no mentioned of WRB and WCC, he simple uses terms like big candle and small candles.

Wide Range Bar WRB is a form of technical analysis study. There is a website for this which I posted a link to years ago.

Weekly Control Candle WCC is the work of strat in his own threads and for those who follow strat' THE PATH.

Let's look at this dragon GJ as of NYC Aug 27.

The weekly candle Aug 16 to 20 is now confirm the new WCC because Aug 23 to 27 did no close above or below the high or low of the previous week.

This WCC defines the market type condition for next week until the WCC high-low is broken.

How do we trade TMS 5-Method next week in view of this WCC?

You weekend homeowrk is to take any weekly chart and learn to spot the WCC and then switch to your 5-Method template and study the 5-Method setups in those weeks within the WCC high-low and then the the breakout setups with PA and Support&Resistance.

Yes. That's true with the Moderate approach and picking only the best setups with PA+Supp/Res remains the big challenge for many traders even when with DM in his trading room.

Big E' with his 5-Method and Trading Made Simple 4hr 10PM, 2AM and 6AM candles is good too but has its limitations.
Big E was what many considered to be the aggressive reversal trader and he has his conservative exit to go along with his aggressive APB#1 and APB#2 entries.
This is how he survived many trades risking 15% to 30% of his $10,000 account per single entry trade.
Risking 15% to 30% of $10K per trade trading standard full lots is not for everyone here. Many still don't get it.

If you meet the TDI entry rule it doesn't much matter where the 5 ema is in relation to the 1st two candles...

All this extra crap does nothing but confuse other traders and their success rate drops and they can't figure out why...

Everyone - Please stop adding anything... stick to the SIMPLE BASIC RULES.

2scoops asked me a long time ago what would be the most beneficial to learning this method for higher success... The answer was simple... study old charts for set ups... now strip down everything on that chart at that point... trends, angles, S/R levels, News times, Stoch angle within the 20-80 lines..etc. Burn it into your memory... I spent 2 years doing that.... so what does that mean?

It takes me 15 seconds to strip a chart down to nothing including the TDI & Stoch's. Taking clean trades is a breeze for me... why?

Honestly on the 5 method you don't really need any indicators because the simple entry rules are so basic and clear cut. If I were to pick two it would be the tdi & stochs.

I almost always have the tdi & stoch on all my charts regardless of the method being used.

However, it's not necessary on the 5 method for me. It gives people more confidence when they have it on their charts it seems.... and it's a good confirmation to the current PA and possible trade.

You can trade the 5 method without the TDI if it's a problem...

PA is HA Candles, PA crosses the yellow line and closes... enter on the next candle if it's the same color. When candles flatten out... exit. Stay in the trade as long as it doesn't cross back over the yellow line and close.

The TDI just gives me a lot more information for making my entries & exits decisions.

Don't contact Dean Malone about the TDI. The way he uses it for his method is 180 degrees from how we use it... you need to learn how to use it our way...

The TDI is the heart of our method. It tells you when to enter and where to exit any trades... so review previous posts and learn it good.

HA Candles are important because it makes your trading way less stressful... use them.

Stoch's is nothing but confirmation. If Stoch's & the TDI give different signals... lights flash off and on warning me to take a closer look before entering.. and usually I look for another trade.

5 ema... shows direction currently... only wanting to enter on candle 1 or two. If there is a reversal do I have a TDI signal to enter... if not and all looks strong then enter on candle 2... use some discretion... practice on Demo... take some chances and see if yor head computer was right... it's free.

HA Candles... What are their size? If they are small I will usually go find another set up... Look for consolidation... look for how close PA is to supp/res levels... use your brain !

Believe it or not you have to participate and think... until it's so second nature... there is nothing to it... it's so simple... don't complicate it or you will lose...

You are slowly starting to get it.

when you have mastered his 5-Method and trading with his Post#6 below,

1) Post#6

Entries and exits...

We Enter a trade when green crosses red on the TDI at the beginning of that candle... If it's candle 3 or more don't enter... find another trade set up. The only exception is if green bounces off red and continues... it's ok to re-enter on the bounce...

Exit your trade when the green TDI line goes flat, starts to hook over or makes a check mark reversal.

If you add other things it will influence your decisions... usually to your detrament. Don't try to complicate it thinking it can't be this easy.

Important to study TDI entries on old charts, any time frame... Give yourself a chance and trade it like it's layed out...

OK there appears to be some confusion here...

According to the rules you exit when the TDI GREEN LINE goes flat, check mark reversal or hooks over.... this is for the conserative trader and works great.
