Good morning everyone,
Hope everyone is getting well ready, sharp-minded and as relaxed as possible for the trading day. Wishing to all the very best one!
We are stuck right in the middle of this -10pips range. BUT could be the new bottom right here, lets beware we bears !
1H and above, bears still pressuring with durable and sustained momentum, and with an extra push one can see from greater than average volatility out of range (3H to 12H cdls).
1D : I worry about these greedy trending bears only above 1755,
where about half of their 100day momentum would have taken a big a hit,
where price would for me be too into the bottom of the range and that there would then be more chances of a continuance to new highs or worst, a falling into some 1D version of the ranging conditions similar to what we are having right on the shortest terms, but more like from 1700s to 1900s... Meaning :
Back to this awful ranging we are in now, especially for my remaining shorts, many shared live, Monday, after a crazy volatility war that got me switching sides twice! as is often the case before these "not to miss" rare beginnings of new trends with such momentum that, once in, returns become vastly superior to risk :
So this ranging rrrrr :
OK, best case scenario, we get out of it and are right below 1700 by the time the news comes. Giving me more options in regards to managing the risk in the face of this big news.
Most probable scenario, we stay stuck in it till the news
, and I have to get rid of twice the positions, early...
So for me, nothing good, nothing bad, for now.
Congrats mate, very nice, perfect entries in this range ! What got you in your long ? Was it that double bottom with the over-the-top 15m candle closing above his 4 past friends ? If I had been awake I would have joined you if that was it ! Anyhow, very nice, thanks for sharing Yves.

Morning folks! It took my testing long the whole night to reach TP @ 1.17225, and now I am in a short trade TP 1.17125. Looks like bulls are still letargic.

The idea was as it is a short trend sell above europe close = price 1800 hr frankfurt time and target that price or maybe more. Yesterday that price was 1.1721 so
entry 1.1725 could give 4 pips or more.

and at the very worst moment for them!Now, that was just first bear important step, next is keeping it under 1717 till the news. Ouch, tough one, but now at least there is new interesting bear movement !
