Morning to all, decent trading day for the indexes, 3 good wins, have started trading treasuies again specifically UB, ZF and ZN all provided decent wins, stayed away from currencies. Haven't been posting much, been busy working on some projects. I have definitely decided to stop trading FX and concentrate solely on futures. Its just simpler and in the end it's as profitable since taxes are lower. More interested in making things simpler for myself than anything else. Everyone have a great weekend.

One question that I'm trying to work out for a long time

How do you use volume since you have added to your charts what specific volume pattern you look for.
I have also volume on my charts but I'm steel trying to find a consistent way to use it

One of the reasons I've always liked futures over FX is that accurate volume is always available, whereas with FX who knows. TOS doesn't even offer volume on FX pairs. I just like to see that volume is there can't say it plays a large part in decision making.

Which Futures do you prefer? Currency, Commodities or Indexes futures? Which broker you use? Why do you say that Futures trading is easier?

I trade mostly the Indexes, ES, NQ, RTY, & YM, Treasuries ZF & ZN these a re the most traded contracts. I will trade once in awhile Oil and Gold(CL and GC respectively). Also currency futures contracts on days whe the USD is making a strong move. 6A, 6B, 6C, 6E, 6j, 6N and 6S. I use ThinkorSwim. I say its simpler because 1) less Symbols to keep track of, 2) Better regulated 3) Good volume numbers 4) reliable spreads 5) Much better tax benefits.
Large move down in indexes over Covid concerns overnight, caught a last leg down on ES and YM, took a loss on NQ debated going in decided to, wrong choice(so it goes). Also caught a nice leg down on CL for best trade of the day. Caught a leg up on ZF and ZN. All in all a very good day, when I thought I'd missed the party.

Damn water system driving me nuts today, our water pump keeps cycling on and of every 2 minutes, gets noisy. Waiting on the maintanece people from our gated community to show up.
Annoying part is I can fix it myself but not allowed to.

Stuck with indexes today for a very easy and excellent 3 trades especially ES and YM, NQ started a little jumpy but calmed down. Paseed on Gold(GC) a mistake and Oil(CL) happy with that decision. Small wins on ZF and ZN

Ok people here's the deal, I am retiring from this thread. I am going to concentrate on helping some locals I know who have expressed an interest in trading. I am working with five now on futures trading and getting them on the road to qualifying for Prop. Tradfing Cos. and as they get qualified adding more a couple at a time. There have been no posts from anyone for about 10 days. Wish everyone the best if any have questions feel free to message me.

Totally understand, RP, running and maintaining a thread can become very tiring, especially if you are successful, bizarrely, as all you end up doing is showing successful trades and it's like watching a movie with no bad guy!

Hi RP.I have been following this thread without posting anything. The reason i was not posting is because i do not trade your system with the indicators you use and would not want to post something out of touch with your method.
However, i have always followed you since 2017 when i started trading. I am so lucky i came across you. The reason is that, in a world where few succeed in trading, there is also a big number of traders who are not really profitable but pretend to be so. Moreover, a lot of people do not have enough evidence that there really are successful traders out there, people you can emulate and also succeed. I have seen enough to believe beyond any doubt that you are successful.
This alone, has motivated me since 2017.I am privileged to know a very successful trader who trades for a living because many aspiring traders have given up, many are giving up right now thinking trading is a hoax of some sort.
At the time of typing this, you have 132 subscribers like me. We may not post but we follow your posts to learn something whenever you post something.
I have saved your charts for analysis.

Rocky, thank you very much for having shared your experience with us. Your excellent trading skills is obvious. What I admire most is your discipline and approach to life. And being so selfless in helping others. Do come back and post your updates from time to time because we like to hear from you and we still have many things to learn from you. @Rockypoint thank you so much for what you have given. My core strategy is based on this strategy although I use it with my own custom setup and indicators now. You've shown me the easiest way to scalp trade anything, whether it be currency pairs, indices or stocks even. This strategy applies to everything as I've tried it with them now.

It's been a great ride. Wish you good luck on your future ventures. My respects to you. Thank you once again sir.
