Personally I would have questioned the 3 crows in that location ,If I didn't know hussin better ....
I can tell you straight that high TF candles should be read before they close ,
All the time that candle that hasn't closed, time frames half that, have closed .
Sometimes you can even get clues at open it really depends and takes practise.

You have a valid point.

However, I believe one should not make conclusions about a candle or a set of candles prior to the candle closing. It would be better to say, 'There is a potential engulfing candle forming,' rather than saying something is an engulfing candle when it has not yet been confirmed as such. When the candle closes and the pattern is confirmed, then an additional comment can be made to take the analysis to the next level.

Saying that there is a 'potential' pattern is useful, because it prepares you for something that might occur.

Keep in mind that there are noobs visiting these threads. It is misleading to tell them something is something before it is that something. It can also lead people who don't know better to jump into a trade prematurely when it would have been better to wait for the candle to close to confirm the pattern. In other words, it could lead to loss.

That said, I appreciate this thread. And I appreciate the effort hussin has put into it.

That's nice. But a potential candle pattern is not an actual candle pattern until it is confirmed as such.

the better question is how can Hussin say thats 3 crows (defective) in that location ? of course we live in the real world
we have that bearish monthly break as in my previous add it all up post
all the reasons why that candle would close an engulf right when hussin posted it

This chart is bearish under the last close and this open ,very low probability it can go back over open at this point.
