Days like this I wonder. What's THIS guy doing?. Those swap fees must be nuts.

Ouch. Right before news I have learned to watch for big candles. Had a large Bullish one come in, I would have sided with you on this short, but it was relatively flat. This coupled with the previous 4hr/D highs to the left lead me to go long. Why? Because levels are set. They just use news to qualify the move to the public. On previous attempts we tried to get back to the high and failed. TECHNICALLY we should have gone down right at the point it popped. Good old USD/JPY manipulation. We may still go further. We have a weekly target to hit again, but if the previous pop off news is any indication we will return to the level we were at when this news popped us up restoring the technical position.



Before the news.. 15m chart.... If you trade wedges though this was a BEAUTIFUL chart. Popped up, retraced, and took off. Sing the song. Breakout, retrace, take the trade. I like to think of it this way. When a prettty lady walks by, if she is pretty enough men will turn around for another look before going on their way. If the price is attractive enough...


Grain of salt folks. We may still pop up to those other highs. The next 5hrs should tell. I have a fib level waiting at 111.5 on the weekly that looks nice, but as my man said when the movie Gladiator ended.. See you soon.. but not yet....

I am not trying to be right, nor was my intent to humiliate you my friend. That Ouch was heartfelt, and my intent was to share something to prevent that from happening to a fellow trader. Otherwise there was no need to impart reasons why. This isnt THAT kind of forum thankfully. Sometimes a yahoo comes in with that attitude, but they soon leave for lack of an audience. I am still long. Target 111.7 the weekly range high. News again this morning shattered my hypothesis of a possible retracement to the beginning, and I went long just before the 2am EST when i saw the 111.5 target becoming more apparent. More news in the morning including the all important non farm, so we may need to look for even higher targets. OR.. it will drop us like a rock.

111.645 huh? My .7 may be wrong. Would make sense to stop short and not engage bears waiting above...
