Well with the dip in the GBP from the BOE interest rate decision added to the Good US A Trade Balance combined seeing 100 pips i think if the Sentiment comes out $+ we could see 8950 very easily today. I think i will put a limit order in right before the news shorting the GBP, I dont think ill play it going negative. Especially since its staying under 9000, here comes that 8600 maybe lol ANy thoughts>?

the market seem to be making some room for the sentiment release. it could be a good trade if it's positive. i'll be watching it closely
Trading is a long and a short story.
bah dont those idiot 500 people know that we have some democrats in office now, so no more rediculous Bush bills will be passed. Economy has to be better when Bush is blocked and Iraq war going to have to go in a diffrent direction...... im surprised to see the sentiment moving 20 pips against the trend...

this is unreal it bounced again off 8950.... figures.
8950 is gonna be the deciding level as to how much lower the pair goes...
macd is below the waterline on the hourly its trying to fight its way backup... could see a retest here..
I think we are seeing a retest of the broken 4hr uptrend line at 9050... the key level is 8950 if that gives way we have a clear run down to 8900...

I straddled the UK rate hike but only on the short side.. bagged a nice profit there with NF but was immediately stopped out with IBFX's ultra wide spread.. still profit albeit lessened.

My straddle was not able to place the orders with NF and I stayed away with IBFX.. so I did a market order shorting the Trade Balance when it retraced back to square 1. I was only able to place a small 1 lot (forgot to set it to higher lot)...

Straddle is not the only tool of trade. I am learning to use fade properly :

all in all, its a nice thursday..

But darn! I missed buying GBPJPY when it dipped to 224 yesterday! I was waiting, waiting, waiting and then my wife egged me to fix a milk drink for our daughter. DARN! WHAT BAD TIMING! I came back and the GBPJPY went up .. missed the ride...

Looking at the calendar, I'd say we are done news trading for the week. Wasnt able to bag more than I could, but still managed to hit my "weekly quota".

Hope we will have fun next week.

Everyone help me remember what happens when Bernacke and Trichet speak together like is happening tommorow. I can't recall.

The pound and yen are showing hints of it but the franc and euro are not.

yep, just read that bloomberg article about heavy option barriers on the eur yen pair which could cap the advance... i wonder if this would play into dollar strength and have a cross effect...
