{quote} Yesterday I posted 11 chart setups in Time and Price forum, one of them was a direct entry that yielded 90 pips for anyone who mirrored the trade.....had 1 like, no comments, no questions, no comeback what so ever. I deleted all of them today. Enough said, appreciate your postings, makes me concentrate and contemplate your work. Have a nice weekend........Ingvar

heh, I don't post much as it takes time to post. But, in your case Swede, you solved all 25 years of my Gann irritation with one stroke, and I doubt I am alone. Paris doesn't post every day, but when he does he drops a small encyclopedia, that, if taken seriously takes about a week to get through. Dave, winning trades help those newbies who come by.

Don't get discouraged guys, just scale back.

BTW Paris, I have observed that you base your FLD on the close instead of the median. Is there a reason for this that you can share?

One last thing Swede and Dave, when I was in college thinking I would give engineering a go, we had to take some humanities.

In philosophy we had lovely conversations with the prof about the meaning of life and all that.

In Thermodynamics, no one said a word.
1. We were trying to keep up with the professor.
2. In a class like that, there are no opinions, and nobody wanted to look like a fool by opening their mouth and removing all doubt.

Is cycle analysis more like Thermo or philosophy? Asking for a friend.

I should say a mix of both.

you need to assimilate the philosophy, the concepts AND to master the various techniques

as I use most often Heikin Ashi candles, close is not so important;

average price (mid price = (High + Low) / 2) was recommended by Hurst in his Cyclitec Course (1975). It smooths the Chart.

But it is logical to use the Lows when trend is Down and the Highs when trend is Up IF your aim is to calculate Target Prices with FLD's

New video of David Hickson about the Bitcoin

Hello! I have just posted a new market update video:

  1. Bitcoin has taken a big fall recently, losing almost 50% of its value.
  2. In this market update video I consider whether Hurst cycles are valid in the price movement of Bitcoin
  3. And I discuss the outlook based on a peak-synchronized analysis - is it all over for Bitcoin?
  4. The video is 23 minutes long.

Envelopes Triad system is the best way to rationally hierarchize and classify M and W patterns (and ALL other patterns).

You do not need to be a rocket scientist to observe that green W is not of the same degree, order, nature than red W which itself is of a lower degree, order , nature than the black W

same reasoning for Cycles, Waves, Harmonic Patterns, Quadrilaterals, Beck Emblems etc
