Well let's look at is this way. I've stressed it all along, Indicators provide a hint. They help people see possibilities, that's all. If you take every signal based solely on them you will lose money, you need the final piece which is P/A that is your only confirmation. So yes this system in definitely discretionary. Could I trade naked charts? Yes . But I choose not to, Indicators make things a little easier for me.
And I do pay attention to all that I have on my charts. My point being that this thread is trying to get some people profitable. Yes too many will rely too much on indicators to be the solution. But there are some who are getting what I'm doing. At least they seem to get it.
Playing around a bit with lbr3/10 ind. on fx, have been using on futures trading for about 10 days now with good results.

Have you changed the W%R setting from 16 to 20?
no, just because playing with LBR. Truthfully 16 or 20 no much difference.

Hey Rocky
I am curious as to how you have been using the LBR3/10. Looks like you are requiring the histogram to be above the zero line for longs and below for shorts.
Or am I missing something and there is more to it than that?.

= +27 No Loses, But Still Need To Learn to hold onto some of these trades and let them Run, Going to try Splinting my trades into two and put half at breakeven 10 pips.

Kminler, Yes that is correct, also looking for divergences.
There was very good news with ADP jobs and UE in US news, so USD was strong today(usd can react weirdly to good news so I waited a bit) Index reaction was initially not much of a reaction then down so I stayed out, Dx reaction was strong candle up on volume. So while I waited for a bit to feel surer about DX move up, decided to look for entries on all the currency futures where I went short between 5:53 and 6:10. So 6 shorts Somehow forgot about the Yen even Shorted 6s. Futures are really my preferred market there are tax advantages with 6040 rule. I've been trading a lot of FX the last year or so, but as life gets back to more normal I'll scale that back a lot.

Nicely done Rocky-- you give me hope. ! I was late to the party yesterday and hesitated to jump into moves that were well under way, need to get better at that.
Ok similar day to yesterday opposite direction, main difference a much larger candle on news today. Waited a little while for closes above that candles then in general pretty easy day for currency futures. Today I remembered 6J but passed on Cad(6C) because they have similar news and so it gets kind of jumpy. Traded Indexes today ES was nice easy trade very gradual move up, NQ was super nice picked off 600 ticks, YM got out for 46 tick loss when price closed below the 20 ema.

Last 2 days with first big move up on DX followed big move down today made trading currency futures easy because all are tied to the usd, so usd up short them , usd down go long on all. Kind of exaggerated last 2 days with large DX moves, but I trade the currency futures by watching what DX is doing.
All have a nice weekend. For me tonight my wife made a huge pot of Ropa Vieja and Frijoles Negras con Arroz and a batch of Mariscos Molcajete. So great food, family, Icy beer and a little good Tequilla. Salud
Exit early due to almost no momentum in first few hours of NY , no profit no loss situation

Badeel is correct generally a shit day for currencies. Took 3 index trades ES was ok, RTY was excellent as was the YM. NQ was a mess.

Hi all,
I have been reading this thread and have enjoyed the ideas posted. I have incorporated parts of the primary scheme using WilliamsR and ParabolicSAR also added 3 RSI levels with a voting system of 2 out of 3. Also use Close > LinRegression(Close,100), and Close < ATR3. I only trade NQ but it's paper account at this point. I'm going to review the LBR310 to see if adds another element. I trade on Ninjatrader but watch TOS indicators for buying and selling action. I will continue to monitor this thread as I like what is posted.
Any chance to have an EA on this ? Eyes are getting red watching those candles non-stop for a perfect setup
