two consecutive H4 candles .... Doji like candle and small body candle ... little momentum so the RSI(13)/MA(2) green price line is flat.

I read a lot of hindsight commentary trading expert type crap posts above and one toxic member described as "a thin veil of calm..." etc.

This is original Big E' Post#11 in full. This is how Big E traded his 5-Method in this thread title "Trading Made Simple" aka TMS.

I prefer to trade the 4hr charts at night. My broker posts new 4 hr candles at 10pm my time (Pacific), 2am my time and 6am my time.

My page when I open up my charts has 8 open charts. I just glance at the TDI for set ups when the new candle opens... If I see a set up... green just crossing red I'll take the trade, turn off the puter and go to bed. Four hours later (1:50am) my alarm goes off for the new candles and I take a peek... if I see a new set up I'll enter and go back to bed with the last alarm at 5:50am my time. I close all trades at that time and go back to sleep... There are enough set ups in a normal week to make 200-500 pips... Stress is zero...

If I do any day trading I'll use 1hr charts at news time. Any method and any timeframes are difficult and fast on the 5-15 min charts. That's where most traders get taken to the slaughter and the dealers know it which puts the odds in their favor...

I hate to monitor charts anyway. Even if I scalp the market I use 4hr charts with success....

4hr charts have less noise, less head fakes, less influence by any news. Just has a lot of benefits...

The key to building confidence is to study old charts... look at the TDI moves and how it looks on PA so every time you see that same set up you will know your odds for success are high.


Did Big E refresh his chart and TDI when looking for trades?

He used the original Traders Dynamic Index from CompassFX which he got in 2006 as a subscriber to Dean Malone' Synergy trading model.

- just added one more positions @1902.37 M15 setup entry

- current Average Entry Price AEP @1894.24 (2 positions)

- who says trading made simple is only single entry / single exit? so much wrong information and misleading people what is TMS or tms, etc.

we all must realize it is year 2021 now and the past is history what Big E did and did not do back in 2011. He died in Oct 2012.

MT4 was build 406 in 2011 and today it is build 1335. Get up to date with MT4 and its newer features and support of expert advisors and VPS.

If people chose to live deep down in the rabbit hole, that's fine with everyone else here.

Do Not stop learning just because the OP Big E died in 2012.

Hi Folks,

selling the AN break out was a successful trade with various approaches to the market.

This person thinks he is the best and others are bad, yet only with 4 months trading the TMS. Before Feb this year there were a bunch of crap posts about Averaging Down and Grid trading strategy that has nothing to do with TMS and not to mention worse performance.
Judging from the information and past EQ of this member, likely he started using the grid strategy since 2018. Much effort was made from FF members and all the way up to Fair Economy Inc. (company behind FF) to stop this clown show.

did BigE used Grid trading approach? What was the system used to mislead other readers and which thread in FF you can find the original system?

We all come to FF forum as equals, and should treat others as professional traders as written in the FF member rules
This unhappy person may have no advantage in life and trading. I would suggest him to read a book.

Crap is a popular word used by certain member in many occasions.

We are trading the forex market which we have no influence over. We merely join the ride and reap profits.

How can a market be “CRAP”? This is a description often used by NEWBIE and UNSUCCESSFUL traders, who always think the market is against them, smart money manipulate the market just for them and stop hunt their DEMO trade SL.
These people are often delusional and unhappy

the market is as it as and never being “crap”, it’s the traders who may be “crappy” and unable to trade market conditions he has no skill in.

BigE referred to previous high/low and real time monitoring to close trades. Not fixed pips. The benefit is SLTP fitting current market conditions. As of the issue with multiple exit EA, the initial stop loss is 50pips with 60% lot size exit at 10pips so the RR is not good as you can calculate.
besides, BigE described numerous time in this thread “exit with profit/loss, if needed, re-enter”, he used the “close trade” function for real time execution on MT4 which closed the whole trade.

lots of wrong information again here. misleading people is top on this newbie' agenda.

Big E traded with 2 to 4 standard lots with his $10,000 account deposit. Using recent swing high-low for initial stop loss is price action. Do Not forget he was used to ADR of the pair he traded. Big E has his exit based on capital protection example when price pulls back on his positions.

Why bother with re-entry when you can take some money off the table, use Capital Protection, use Jumping Stops, use Preceding TP move, etc. and let the trade run until the trade setup get invalidation.

where is initial stop loss 50 pips written in a trade plan?
has the newbie bother to read Phx62 posts and learn how he used 50 pips as emergency stop?

Oh ok I didn't read that refresh thing, I did miss something then. Thank you, I will refresh my charts before opening a new trade. Is it only for 4h charts or for all timeframe?

Echoing Emmanuel’s point. I totally agree with him.

Big E traded with 2 to 4 standard lots with his $10,000 account deposit. Using recent swing high-low for initial stop loss is price action.

When practicing the TMS system, here are how I plan trades

1. Calculated lot size for a certain account size (you can trade 2-4 lot /$10000 but it does not affect the system as a whole)
2. SLTP to recent high and low

A trade management EA being used by certain members used fixed initial SL of 50pips, TP1/2/3 at fixed pips.

Emmanuel and BigE have made very good point aligning my view: SLTP should be customised with current market conditions.


The question is: Who is using the THV CaveManager EA in this thread? (Hint: not me)

and you are right, daily and weekly are in a strong uptrend, that make the 4h short very low probability trade.
