hey Folks

when you are not sure if you can trade when the Stoch is above / below in its overbought / oversold regions,

read, study and learn from another of Big E' top traders ... he has a good brain and is brilliant in technical studies.

he has two methods following Big E' TMS and work great trading H4 and daily charts.

Method 1 :

At the beginning of the day, I will check all 28 pairs for possible entries based on the following rules:

BUY:

1) Stochastic : Should be over 80
2) TDI : a) Green should cross above the red line or show a rebound b) prefer that cross or rebound happened above the yellow line.

Sell:

1) Stochastic : Should be bellow 20
2) TDI : a) Green should cross bellow the red line or show a rebound b) prefer that cross or rebound happened bellow the yellow line.


Method 2:

If I want to look at 4H charts for more entries, ( usually when I do not have any entries from method 1 at the beginning of the day), during the day , I will follow the bellow rules:

1) Check method 1 for possible entries on chart 4H
or

2) BUY:

2-1) Stochastic : near or above 50
2-2) TDI : a) looking for cross or rebound but where it is near or above yellow line b) cross or rebound upward


3) SELL:

3-1) Stochastic : near or BELLOW 50
3-2) TDI : a) looking for cross or rebound but where it is near or BELLOW yellow line b) cross or rebound DOWNWARD

TDI in BigE’s template is using traditional candlestick OHLC. If you are using TradingView, you can check the TDI with traditional candlestick chart. I usually just quickly switch to HA chart to confirm candle colour change. When the TDI is in good slope, it is almost always HA candle colour change and 5ema cross, so basically you can skip those two after a while.

It’s simply because MT4 does not support sync of indi on the same chart. The APB indi works independently with TDI and Stoch.

TV has so far the most user friendly chart and accurate indi environment IMO. MT4 is well known for not friendly towards custom indi.

no doubt on the popularity. My concern is the accuracy of custom indi. I only trust the built in indi functions

give it a try and you will know. Take Expo Moving average as an example. Try using the built in EMA, then load MA EAs that use iMA(), another EA using hard code EMA equation and array values. You will likely see 2-3 lines which are supposed to be one. And the built in EMA should give you the correct values.

hi Dave,
I can understand what your saying. But My view is market is still towards upside. Market just slow down a bit. I will not sell here. Because in strong market no individual candlesticks can change market directions. In fact crate opportunity for better entry.
I know many people are frustrated about candlesticks pattern, Because individual candlesticks can't change everything.
some people think PA means candlesticks pattern which is wrong in my opinion.

Support and resistance don't' work, which support will work and which one will not work, it is also like tdi cross.

Only things work is market context, Market context is help us understand the current PA better. what is market context It is depend on individual understanding and Risk management method.
For example I know few day trader they pick one direction and trade that direction all day long. I don't do it I am not saying my way is high way. I buy and sell selected instrument in one day because I in and out quickly with my risk reward. when we talks about Risk reward, It has problem too, when market conditions is not good if we try to have better risk reward you will face large DD. Anyway I have share some of my thought, Feel free to disagree.

if you like TDI corss and and TDI angle you will sell in this candle, bad entry.

If you don't understand market structure and conditions It is given that your account balance will go south. sorry to say TDI cross is nothing but a way to lose money.
