Build up confidence and trade what you see.

hey Folks

WOW! a lot of toxicity from a @tommydogie aka @TMS_GURU full of lies and misleading information.

If you follow his post and use the non-repaint version and try follow Big E rules for entries and exits you will lose money for sure.

The original TDI version the Big E used is the version to use in real-time live market trading when you are trading like Big E. If there is any secret of Big E trading, then it in the TDI version he used. Re-painting is not the problem.
If you use any other version of TDI make sure you test that in real-time live market and write your own rules for entries and exits.

today is FOMC and trade talks in Brussel seems never ending.

unless you find good H4 trade setup according to Big E' post, better stand aside during the European / London sessions.

FOMC is likely to favour USD so I wait for that candle.

Exactly, talking crap with no substance to explain the PA and Post#647 is all guru talk.

If you are trading demo money with MT4 broker, keep it simple, post the MT4 charts.

why mislead people here posting your tradingview charts with your version of TDI and MACD?

It is very obvious that you do not understand the Traders Dynamic Index (TDI). Just like Tekkis, you complained about the issue of your version of TDI repainting, which in fact is the coding flaw. Either you are accusing BigE not using the TDI but a variation of it. The source code of the TDI in #25 can be viewed and translated to other platforms. BigE used the "repainting" TDI indicator without issue, because in #11 stated very clearly, he TURNED OFF the computer between sessions of chart checking using the H4 chart. Therefore he never needed to worry about the repainting, because he did not have a chart open when a new candle formed. The TDI lines he saw would be as if using a non-repainting TDI. *Edit to add more info: The coding flaw caused the immediately last candle's TDI used the current (latest) candle's price info at the first tick of new candle, simply because the calculation is using "Current candle" OHLC.

Same as BigE, analysis is done using the following parameters: How close is price to the previous highs and lows, it is uptrend or downtrend and short/long term, look at candles on the last reversal and how the momentum is at entries. Since you asked, it was previous low, last reversal was strong and strong momentum.

Read, study, and digest BigE's posts. Understand the context of BigE's posts.
You are an experienced trader and should able to read PA. If you are not sure why I enter certain trades, feel free to ask. There is no shame needing to learn from newer traders.

Finally, I would wonder who was misleading all the traders coming to this thread causing them to lose money in the last 10 years. It was way before I started trading and after BigE's passed away.

Read Post#1, Big E provided the update to the TDI he used. That's the TDI in Post#25 and it is the same version I use since 2007. I know this TDI code and its behaviour. Re-painting is not the issue nor a problem because Big E and I traded with that and we look at Price Action and the TDI green price line as the MOMENTUM of the PA setup. The re-painting was inherent in the original Traders_Dynamic_Index provided by Dean Malone in 2006. He explained that in his trading room and also in his tutorial videos. You were too young then and your dad was 48 then, am I right? How old were you in 2007?

If you want to use another version which is coded to update on every price tick, that's fine but you cannot apply the same rules which Big E had written in this thread. You have not read, study and learn from all the OP posts in Forex factory and that is your #463# Limitation which Tekkies suffers the same.

Now study this GJ H1 chart and compare the two TDI version on the same price action.

Honestly on the 5 method you don't really need any indicators because the simple entry rules are so basic and clear cut. If I were to pick two it would be the tdi & stochs.

I almost always have the tdi & stoch on all my charts regardless of the method being used.

However, it's not necessary on the 5 method for me. It gives people more confidence when they have it on their charts it seems.... and it's a good confirmation to the current PA and possible trade.

You can trade the 5 method without the TDI if it's a problem...

PA is HA Candles, PA crosses the yellow line and closes... enter on the next candle if it's the same color. When candles flatten out... exit. Stay in the trade as long as it doesn't cross back over the yellow line and close.

The TDI just gives me a lot more information for making my entries & exits decisions.

2scoops asked me a long time ago what would be the most beneficial to learning this method for higher success... The answer was simple... study old charts for set ups... now strip down everything on that chart at that point... trends, angles, S/R levels, News times, Stoch angle within the 20-80 lines..etc. Burn it into your memory... I spent 2 years doing that.... so what does that mean?

It takes me 15 seconds to strip a chart down to nothing including the TDI & Stoch's. Taking clean trades is a breeze for me... why?

I can take you to water but I can't make you drink... follow the simple entry & exit rules. Forget other indicators. I went down those roads so you wouldn't have too...

There is no contradiction between what we have stated.

The TDI version BigE used was repainting. However his trading routine is check chart before a new candle form, turn off puter, and re-open the chart in next session. So the TDI shown on the chart would be the same as if a non-repainting version of TDI keeps running.

Yes you are correct, BigE did stated that he used the TDI to check for momentum because he repeatedly stated he was referring to the "open" of the candle to decide trades.

When trading any of these methods... set your charts up the way that it works for you... my charts work for me and are only suggestions for you... they aren't the only way or the Holy Grail. I'm just trying to make suggestions...

I said this many times in the past 10 years.

The original TDI 2006 re-painting is not an issue nor a problem.
Just use that in real-time live market trading and focus on the price and the price action for the setup.

The problem is in one of your post last night which is misleading people here.

TDI or RSI or RSI/MA or Fozzy RSI is all about price MOMENTUM . It is no Holy Grail.

Big E was correct you can trade without the TDI and the Stochastics. How long will it take for someone to achieve that?

That I totally agree with you.

I have no problem with you after you ditched your craps of other irrelevant topics not discussing BigE's TMS system and not posting in this thread anymore. As I said, you are an experience trader and FF member that should know very well which topics should stick to which thread and how to behave like an adult.

Just so you know, BigE did not mentioned the TMS would include the PA you mentioned in #118,252n namely 2-bar engulfing and PCRF. BigE has never once mentioned these terms in all his posts in FF. You can incorporate these into your way of trading, but cannot make it up as if it was BigE's way. Plus he never used EAs so definitely not trading his way whenever an EA is shown on a screenshot. You are misleading people but I am okay with these as I am not following your way of trading.

BigE mastered trading and found an effective way to utilize TDI. BigE was very kind and generous to develop the Trading Made Simple system that can help trading.

Read, study and digest the information of all of BigE's posts. Practice and build confidence and progress slowly in scaling up your trades.

BigE claimed that TMS worked 70-80% for him, while others who get his idea may achieve 65% or higher as getting more skillful over time. I hope to get there. Hope everyone else will do too.

The United States Federal Trade Commission has finally exploded the Online Trading Academy.
On February 12, 2020, the FTC filed a massive 8000+ page lawsuit alleging that the Online Trading Academy ripped off thousands of consumers for a total of $370 million dollars, since at least 2014.
However, the alleged fraud is likely much larger and probably closer to $670 million dollars. According to a source that contacted TradingSchools.Org, the organization was not charged with the full amount because the statute of limitations only covered the prior 6 years.
The lawsuit filed in the Southern District of California is an absolute nightmare and essentially describes what amounts to a highly refined and well-orchestrated financial slaughterhouse where primarily elderly consumers were fleeced of their life savings.
Additionally, on February 25, the FTC was able to successfully obtain a Temporary Restraining Order and was able to freeze the personal and corporate assets of the company founders: Eyal Shachar and Sam Seiden.
