I'm always curious at the non even numbers. Like why 1947 and not 1950 or 1945? Guessing maybe similar to stop where if the low was 1945 putting a stop at 1942 makes most sense?

On the 4 hr I am seeing a top of 1946 from 3/22 @ 12pm central. Is that why 1947?

dailies TL shows support at 1945. hourlies show support at 1947 (descending wedge).

got a sell at .19500 that expires in 30m SL is last hours high, TP open. got a long from 57 that will be closed with it if it happens - 7.
If I don't mention SL and/or TP = longer-term setup possibly in the works!

LOL I know how it must look dear friend, but I trend, countertrend and range trade many TFs... my longs are not near finished. But I have to diversify as my strategies complement one another and keep my return drawdown ratio high enough.

Way back, I started out trend trading, got a soft spot for that one .


its trying sooo hard to trigger my 19500 sell stop. Times up in 10m. Are we taking bets ?

price hit the 1.19900 resistance bounced and broke market structure on the 1H TF. now testing 1.19500 support. will 1.19500 break or hold. i will be looking for shorting opportunities until a continuation of the up move is presented.

It looks like my intuition saved my ass yesterday as I got out of a sizeable, good price, long position I had wanted to establish for three days. To me what made me desist was the general delay, the three higher highs close together on 15m, and finally yesterday, the establishment of those three lows about the same level. Got out on up bounce after the third.
My scenario of quick down and then up also no longer seems to me likely as I expected it to be a quick thing Friday London session, stops run style, not now.

My take now is that it will continue dropping in Asia session and reverse up in London. If it doesn't make a new swing high today it's going for a correction that will extend through next week. No longing blindly for me, only if I see good reason. a small short might be in order.

06:15 Server Time. Limit Sell 1.1959, and then again if it goes underwater, all the way to day's high, to establish a short position
08:09 ST. Short 2.2% of account 1.1963 ...The up move is greater than I expected. Sticking to my plan.
09:02 ST. Increased to 5% of account 1.1972 and reduced 1.1967. Now short 1.5% of account 1.1972 Taken to balance -0.2% on account. ...increased to 2.2% of account the short, now average 1.1971 .
09:20 ST TP on the latest increment and now back to 1.5% of account short 1.1972 having erased the loss on balance. ...The situation is far from certain. I have no high confidence on any direction for the next few hours.
10:13 ST Out. No change on account. No longer confident on the down.

10:56 ST I've been longing for past few minutes. 2.2% of account at 1.1975
11:37 ST Closed long. Short. Closed short. +1% on account. Long 1.198 ...Long 1.5% account 1.1974
12:54 ST Closed. +1.1% account.
13:20 ST Back long 1.1977
16:40 ST Out. +1.1% for the day. Not bad considering I got a lot wrong in my expectations.

LOL..yep sounds about my luck at the moment...as soon as I enter, it immediately reverses....Bitcoin is amazing for that too....but seriously, no long or buy order for me in place yet....probably won't do anything till London or so....have to start making some money sooner or later!

I came close to selling for a while, at least till 30s-40s! But bears completely stalled .9 pip above my sell stop for over 30 minutes before my volatility conditions were just not met anymore.

Pursuing my buys as always, buying till 65, tight trailing SLs, moved at BE when reached top of current range, around 68-73

New selling setup possible for me, under 1940, needing first a good ol dose of momentum this time, continuous, gradual drop from around 55 to below 40.

my target is ema 50, so i am selling with TP 1.1925 , and others pairs also trying to touch ema 50 before continue their trend.

If it continues this steady slow rise to break past 75, chances are the bears wont have their move anytime soon.

This persistent rise making my last entries possible could end anytime though, and this level here, 62-63, is crucial for the bears to keep the little momentum.

Managed to get in more than I thought, 3 positions, at 560 582 and 589, all on nice clean 1min pullbacks. Got another potential at 61 and 625. and all with very tight trailing SLs. from 25 to 55.

Moving my under 60s to BE the second 633 is hit though as the situation has already evolved differently and have to adapt. Its a strong average resistance on the shortest term for me. It dropped more than expected. That is why I dont expect for these to stay alive, and more risk is just not worth it anymore

633 has to break.

The news might surely help much later on today to get better entries. It more often does than doesnt, for me.

Hi tonyb123. Sure would be a really good start if it did that next.

It passed through 63 seamlessly, which is a very good sign for me. My next important level is 68, where there should be even more resistance next. If reaches 68, its nap time for me, as the chances of one or two of my last longs will have much better chance to survive !

My next entries will be considered, under the right conditions, only above 1.2 for LONGS and below 1.1945 to SHORTS

These slow, steady, sometimes deadly moves like this one now often reminds me of the frog in boiling water fable.

Now it is perhaps the bears in the boiling water.
