Yes, the trader is responsible and must know well the EA in order to operate it.

But my reasoning is:

1. I'm doing grid trading on 28 pairs - BL/SL with a reference price based on some considerations like for example 2 hours after the London session start.
2. I notice based on DB, DS, currency power indicators, analyzing the candle graph or even based on some news that a pair is trending UP or DOWN and I decide to change that pair from grid trading to trend trading (BL/BS or SL/SS) - this means right now the following steps, as far as I understand:
a) Deactivate the pair
b) Clear #S & #B and close sell trades for uptrend or close buy trades for downtrend
c) Adjust O, D, TO, TP, STPL, FL, LI, L1, L2, L3 for trend trading
d) Click on BL or SL and on BS or SS to select up or down trending trading
e) Refresh Reference B/S Price
f) Activate pair
g) keep refreshing regularly the reference price to be able to eventually detect dips and therefore open new orders on them.

Am I right or am I not realizing that there are some functionalities available on the EA that would avoid or reduce all those steps?

Another option is to have pre-configured pairs or EAs for trend trading.

I recognize that most of the time forex is not trending and some trending only happens on fast time frames and therefore it might not justify a lot of gears that are needed .

So as I understand, Choosing USD is related to Percentage % and it's changing every time as the balance or the equity value. and we can control which index or magic number will the be under the Script calculations.

Hi zreboo - Yes I did that - 2 EAs with different letters and magic - one for grid trading and another with settings for trend trading or trading the news - and therefore I'm gonna see how Smart TP/SL on the first one will behave with the Equity resulting from two EAs (yahia good ideas) and how good I am doing trend trading .
