{quote} sir, can you guide me for using ATR AUTOMATIC LOT MANAGEMENT FUNCTION / sir , I am new
Ignored
The role of ATR as a normal method is to set the loss cut position.
Since the lot size is determined from the amount of funds for the loss cut position, the normal method cannot be used.
A possible method is to multiply the long ATR value by a certain coefficient.
You have to look for that factor with careful testing. To increase the lot of hedge positions like martingale.

Alternatively, the total lot size for the amount of funds can be calculated from the loss cut position used in this logic and subtracted.

Greetings @mapi,

It would be better to check for available margin before sending an order request , I did some stress test from Wednesday and my account was blocked due to a huge amount of requests to the server. NOTE: they were failed requests.

Hi, thanks for the hint.

In reality on my account I always was in alert mode when close or in MC, so I did not have this problem. Anyhow, will take it on our wish list, thanks for reporting.

Hi Mapi,
can you explain me why you open both buy and sell and not just one of the two positions? By opening both at the same time, you lose the possibility of going into profit already with the first position.

Thanks

Hi, this is the logic on this version, it plays both cycles separately and ongoing. As you can see in earlier posts some like this more, others don't.

The beta version on my real account is not opening both cycles at the same time because of indicators are involved. On the wish list I will putca version where you can choose between both options...

My house, my rules: NO Trolls. NO discussion of other non-related systems or topics. NO discussion of commercial materials (Brokers, Paid Products, etc). NO attacking and disrespecting other members. RULE BREAKERS WILL BE IGNORED WITHOUT NOTICE! Hello, I am trading since the year of 2000. I do use different strategies and styles, but some years ago I fall in love with grid trading. Yes, I – and hopefully you – know, it is high risk, and when you try like me to gain performance 100% + a year at some point you will always hit the doomsday drawdown...

Hi Mapi,
Thanks for the EA. Could you please tell me on what criteria the EA closes the cycle? How take profit parameter is used?

Hi Sir, thx a lot for your EA. I really appreciade. I am testing, so fari ts working well in Nonfarm condition on EU ;-)
I noticed that EA sometimes close one o more position and directly open a new one in the same directon. I understand his point of view...but

maybe it would be a nice feature: stay with a position of same lotsize;direction, if a open one is more closer then xx pips....
And another idea was, open the possibility to give different parameters like "gridsize" for long and short seperated.. so you could take advantege from a trend with definable risk...

Hope i could explain myself,... again, thank you very much, have a great weekend everybody!!

Good afternoon MaPi
I am testing the EA Ikarus on active US30 with 50 pips grid (5000) and 100 pips grid (10000) I would like to ask a question that seems pertinent to me.

EA Ikarus will place orders for sell limit and buy limit according to the size of the grid.

Why don't we have a system together, placing pending BUY STOP AND SELL STOP orders to take advantage of the direction the price is going?
The system would be the same ... thankful

{quote} At the moment I am doing this on my live account like this: 1K --> 2K (1K are taken out of the account) 1K --> 3K (1K are taken out of the account) 2K --> 5K (2K are taken out of the account) At the moment I am 740 € away from this step 3K --> 8K (3K are taken out of the account) LoL, gues you found out allready I am a big fan of fibonacci numbers

what a bummer I`m not allowed to write about my favourite gridding system lol......
what I do have is a brilliant idea.....suppose you get to 8k, you take out 3k and you leave 5k.....its still not very nice to lose that kind of money is it???......why not have several accounts with 1k each and trade instruments on it, which are not correlated?....so get to 3k, take out 1k to pamper your girl, leave 1k and 1k to a new account and ready to roll again......brilliant if I say so myself.......
better to lose 1k than 2k or 5k or ?k........

Hi MaPi,

I am not realized how to do ACCOUNT RISK CONTROL in this EA.
I checked the mq4 file, the robot perform risk control at the beginning of Robot(), which depends on the condition:
if(((100-(100*account_risk))/100)*AccountBalance()>AccountEquity()) {
stopAll=1;
}
However, ((100-(100*account_risk))/100)*AccountBalance()>AccountEquity() is always
false, when account_risk=1.0. That is, Account Risk Control never take place.

Regards,
T.C. Liang

hi Mr. Liang,
you are right, account risk control never takes place when account_risk=1.0....
this means at this setting, you are risking your whole account.......

Did you check with their customer support helpdesk?

Most likely you have reached the maximum 200 orders limit for your account type.

To make Account Risk Control effective, the external variable account_risk should be set to 0.01 but 1.0, if you are not going to modify the source code of the EA to:
if(((100-account_risk)/100)*AccountBalance()>AccountEquity())
{
stopAll=1;
}

The available margin was insufficient hence the endless loop of retries, the trades count was within the allowed count by the broker.

{quote} Hi and welcome on board, What kind of adjustments have you done for the first test? Cheers
Ignored
I will explain further after some more tests. I got my developer on it. In those tests there was no hedging going on, so what you see in my last post is all closed positions and no negative P/L hanging around.

It seems to survive most normal conditions through out the years, but have problems with situations like the impact of Corona. That’s where a ”safety net” has to be applied, e.g. begin hedging. The rest of 2020 showed a profit of approx 800 % (through backtest data), without any increase in lot size

BR,
Mr. Bank
