There can be slight differences in the charts due to the amount of data received. FXCM intentionally sends less data to our mobile platform so that it does not require as much data to open or load a chart. This is because many clients use the app on-the-go with a mobile data plan where they have to pay if they use too much bandwidth, or get capped or throttled for the rest of the month once they use a certain amount.

However, the two screen shots you provided appear to be a Bid and Ask issue. On your screen shot of desktop platform we can clearly see "Ask" is selected. The Bid/Ask selection is not displayed on the mobile platform but you can check and toggle between by clicking the three dots in the upper left corner of the chart. Once you click on the dots the "Chart Options" page will open and you can see if you have Bid or Ask selected.

You can add additional historical data to MT4. FXCM offers up to 10 years for 1min, 5min, 15min, 30min, 1hour, 4hour, 1day, 1week, and 1 month data with the free Historical Data Downloader: https://www.fxcmapps.com/apps/basic-historical-data-downloader/

The information can be imported into MT4 and step by step instructions are included in the User Guide, which is also found on the Historical Data Downloader page linked above.

FXCM offers the SPX 500 CFD on all platforms including MT4. Contact their tech support to troubleshoot why you can't see it.

Do we have any sierra charts/FXCM users here. i use sierra for futures and looking to use it to spreadbet forex in the UK. Any ideas on how well the FXCM/Sierra combo works?

i have opened a demo and live account with FXCM UK and would like to know if their is an easy way to switch between my live and demo account in 1 instance of MT4.

I dont want to have to remember usernames and passwords and would be great if i could easily switch between profiles. thanks

Hello FXCM,

I am using FXCM Trading Station (Windows 7) for 5-6 years now. I have neverending issue with multiple horizontal lines. The lines are always sitting in certain fx pairs and can't be removed unless you remove it one by one. Once removed they come back again. The problem is there are hundreds or thousands of them to remove each time, and it doesn't help in the end as they keep getting back. Re-installation of Trading Station doesn't help as well. Can you please address this issue to someone who can help.

I have several questions regards FXCM, TS2 and related stuff.

The custumor support over years meanwhile never reacts to my proposals or reported issues in a constructive and helpful way

there are issues as following

the price of SPX500 on the chart window is not displayed properly, because the price field is to small. Reaction of the support team to this issue. "Really?"

there is no option for visual order of moving averages. Reaction of the support team to this issue. "You are the first who mentioned this, we have never heard that something like visual order could be useful and interesting for other users." When you mention that even Tradingview has an option for visual order, they say: "If you lilke Tradingview more than TS2, then you may use this platform, there you have visual order. You can trade with FXCM also on Tradingview."

the different layouts of TS2 take so much percentage of CPU, that they are blocked even when CPU is running only with 15%.
Normally the blocking starts at 9% of CPU for each layout. If you want to edit something (period of MA e.g.) most likely the blocking persists for minutes.

There are also restrictions to name a layout, because every layout starts with "Marketscope 2.0" after these letter there is only space for an "A" or "1".I made the proposal to start simply with "MS2" After this you may name a layout like e.g. "EURUSD". The support team says to this issue: "Other users only have one marketscope, why do you want to have more than one layout?"

You can not effectivly trade the Bund, because the trading hours on TS2 are starting way behind the actual trading hours. All indicators are not working properly, because in every trading day several hourly candles are missing. Reaction of the support team to this issue: "Why do you need indicators for trading?".

When you hit the buy or sell button on the price chart and the market is closed at that time or has just opened, the layout crashes and has to be reloaded. Reaction of the support team to this issue. "You are the first who mentioned this, we have never heard about it before."
