No I do not use top 5 currency pairs don't even glance at it, though they may end up among pairs I trade. My primary objective is to find strength/weakness that the charts that have pa I find to my liking.

If I saw these charts at start of the day first one I would keep second one I would toss. Why? First one has nice pa not loaded with big candles and long wicks, doesn't mean I'll find a trade but it has possibilities. Second one to jumpy, larger candles. Does that mean no trades are there? No just means its not kind pa I trade.

Wound up doing a little trading this morning started a little before 6:15. Took 3 JPY pair trades U/J, Cad/J and E/J. Passed on 2 that would've made money but didn't like PA felt a little too jumpy for my tastes G/J and N/J. A/J never in the picture,

I have never met such profitable traders in my life as you. you have practically no losses. I have been in the market for 10 years. If I add up all the wins and losses, then I'm still in the red. For the last 5 years I have made a pittance. I admire your trading. and very disappointed in my abilities. I lost the most valuable thing in my life - this time of my life.

Well yes I do have losses every week, on options, index futures, oil futures, but I almost never let my trades hit my stop loss, I get a fair amount of B/E ttrades and I stay away from very volatile looking charts. Lots of people think you need volatility for profitable trades, Not me I like charts to look consistent not jumpy. Not filled with big candles/big wicks. Hell I don't even like trending charts that are loaded with big candles/wicks, for me placid looking charts are easier to trade. Plus much easier on the psyche, which in turn makes decision making easier.
Look I don't know how or what you've spent the last 10 years learning or how or what you've been trading. I suspect you have never really(like most people) learned what kind of trader you are, day/swing/long term. That Is first and foremost the most important step. Because if your psyche is swing/long term and you are day trading you are wasting your time because everything will seem too fast and stressful. If you are a day trader swing/long term trading everything will seem impossibly slow and you'll want to shoot yourself.
I am not a great trader, but I know my capabilities and limitations inside out.

I saw you posted on another thread that you didn't take a 10 pip win because you got greedy. Let me pass on an old wall street saying. Bulls make money, Bears make money, Pigs get slaughtered.
Markets operate on fear and greed you need to control both to succeed. A little of either is good but too much is a disaster..

Thanks rockypoint. I appreciate your advice. My biggest problem is that it's hard for me to wait for the entry point. If I open the chart, I will definitely find an entry point, although it does not yet exist on my system. Perhaps this is due to a thousand strategies that have passed through my brain and I see an entry point at every tick)). Or am I just a drug addict who, after seeing the dose, wants to use it as soon as possible ..

Well then it looks to me like a classic over trading problem, fear itself is not your problem its greed you're afraid you are going to miss an opportunity.
First you need to understand you are not and never will be profitable if you can't learn to stop over trading. Second I would strongly recommend you go back to Demo trading until you learn to trade 1 system profficiently. Whats more important just trading or trading profitably, if its the former you are screwed.
There is no success in trading without discipline and from your description this is where you need to focus your efforts.

Today no fx for me 4hr reading CHF is only strong mover and 1hr has all pairs with little movement. So first of all I don't like to trade CHF after what SNB did a few years ago, I almost always stay away from CHF. In shorter time not enough movement to make it worth spending the time watching the charts.

So today only indexes and oil four trades all very fast done in 30 min. or less on indexes and 1 hr on oil.

In NY i did lose the winnings i did lose 43 pips.
It s the most important thing to learn for beginner .don t trade on days like this.I still have to learn a lot about trading days like today.
Realy experience in trading comes in years.but i m still on a good way as a beginner.

Hey rocky, thank you for this forum man it's helped me a lot.

It seemed like just a bad day to trade today. I only saw 1 trade and it was iffy at best, so I locked in profits the second it looked like it was slipping.
