I remember a long time ago you questioned me as to why I traded FX, wish I had not been so stubborn with my answer, would never have fancied Crypto but the other instruments have really got my attention now

I have a noob question about calculations of the Amplitude of envelope 32TU.

256/32=8
If so why we are adding - +(1/4)Gann octave instead of - +(1/8)Gann octave?

dave - sorry to bother you there is a few which ones does the individual need?

also in my descriptions ( do i need to explain the sizes- perhaps be best if it is one size fits all? ) is it one size fits all in relevance to the octave of the envelope?


i have to take my dad to the doctors shortly today so ill hopefully with some help have both examples done come evening to late evening with abit of help

i understand it is relatively cheeky of my asking

-is it possible to add on off button for outer bands so just leave the center ma's
-also is it possible for a button for turning the envelopes on off in general

if both are possible great ! if only one is possible may it be the 2nd one

and if your too busy being awsome and cant do - i still think your awsome and thank you sincerely for your contributions

i would attempt over a long time period my self ( long time period being not experienced with code so mutch ) however only exe files which ive been hear long enough to understand why you guys have started only sharing ex files

Hi
I no longer work with or indeed have MT4 but from memory Sohocool Feb26th &/or Aug 11th is what I used
You cannot make a One size fit all solution just think of all the different frame sizes you need to look at M,W D 60min 15min 1 min etc
all you have to do his guestimate the 256 band width, look for best fit by eye then half for the 128 then half again for the 32
For you other question to Sohocool why not just match the color of the Envelope to your chart background color for the Envelope that you do not want to see

Merka it is an old story. At the beginning in 2006 I was lead to use the combination of Envelopes 256, 128, 32 with an Amplitude X for the Envelope 256, X/2 for the Envelope 128 and X/4 for the Envelope 32

I'm not expert but they look similar to me but the 32TU follow better price than 64TU

Merka good ! that what I thought at the time in 2006. I have no real explication for that. hence on a practical sense I decided to keep the Envelopes 256, 128 and 32 as "model"

But if both Envelopes64 and 32 look very similar what other conclusion can you draw from this fact ?

you can skip one of them so instead of trying to use 4 envelopes you can just use 3 choosing 32/64 as third envelope.

the real key factor is that the Amplitude you use is (relatively) more important than the period of the Centered Moving Average you use
