Do you want to set them on MT4 or Tradingview
Sohocool is only for MT4
I have managed to do it on Tradingview but its a little more fiddly
You cannot do it as you are showing, as you cannot offset the avgs on that particular envelope

I tryed to go for the easy route that I was hoping was to use the same tradingview platform as parisboy but obviously is not that easy as it appears.
I'm sure the calculation was ok.
If parisboy can do easily why we can't?
How did you managed to do on TV?

I think I found the error my parameters values are "absolute values" and not percentage

unfortunately I do not remember exactly how I built the Envelope but I used something really existing within Tradingview

I will try my best
here goes
Tradingview
Indicators Public Library
In search box type in Hurst Constant Envelope, click on
Now in setting box Inputs
Indicator Timeframe = Same as chart
Length 256 Offset -16
Basic Band width, a number that Parisboy as shown
Leave Second Harmonic Band with as default
Now go into Style
Click tick boxes only for Basic Upper and Lower setting the color you want
Now repeat the process again
But use 128 -16 and half the previous Basic width number you used for the previous 256 setting
Same again for the Style but change colors
Now repeat for the third time but use
32 -16 and half the 128 basic width number
Style, the same again but change the colors but this time you can tick the Background and it will fill this envelope
Save Template
Sorry thats the best I can do as I am crap at all things computers and do not know how to show all the correct screenshots
Hope thats of some help and I am sure someone that understands will be able to post the right screenshots

well explained tomorrow i will try to do both then do screen shots of both processes perhaps if that's okay with Paris boy don't want to clag up his thread when in fairness you have explained it well,

Thanks for that, I am surprised anyone understood it
I am sure Parisboy would not mind if you could show the proper screenshots, it would in my humble opinion help the thread in some small way

I suggest when you have finished the explanation document to give to parisboy so he can attach to post1 for future reference so there will be no more struggueling for new users.

From Romeman of the Gann Study Group

In the commodities section of his first book, published in 1923, W. D. Gann writes, "In an active option, you should keep up a daily high and low chart, a weekly, and a monthly chart. The daily chart will enable you to tell when the minor moves start, which only last for a few days; while the weekly and monthly charts will enable you to determine when there is a change in the major trend, and thus you can buy or sell in time to catch the big moves. . . .

"Thus you see that the daily chart will help to give you a minor change and get you in or out close to tops and bottoms before the weekly and monthly charts show a change in the major trend. But the daily chart will often fool you, as the time period is short and many false moves occur which are the reverse of the main trend and do not in any way change it." W. D. This also applies to stocks.

". . . By watching closely the daily high and low, weekly and monthly charts, you will be able to determine when each individual stock has changed its position from strong to weak." ibid, p. 92

"BEST WAY TO DETECT TREND

"Years of experience have convinced me that the trend can be detected by a study of charts.

"Monthly Chart: The best chart to use for detecting the main trend of a stock in the Monthly high and low Chart.

"Weekly Chart: The Weekly high and low Chart is the next best guide to the real trend of a stock.

"Daily Chart: When a market is moving very fast and is very active on large volume, the Daily high and low Chart is good guide and trend detector.

"To detect when a stock is getting into strong position and ready to advice, look up the Monthly Chart. If there is good support and good buying, then the stock will gradually be absorbed and as it grows scarcer and the demand increases, it will work higher and receive support at a higher level, making higher bottoms and higher tops.
