TMS is half discretionary. The final strategy has additional rules on top of the ones mentioned. You can have your own rules. To accommodate work hours, alerts can be useful, or code some alert scripts if having the skill. I am remote work full time, so have a bit more time during the day, so I mainly trade 1H with help of alerts. In this thread I try to follow BigE’s rules but stick to my 1H.

One way to keep on H4, is you can review your day, and see if you have time in 4 hr period (lunch, break). You can then choose a broker fitting your H4 cycle (for example, Rakutan and IG’s H4 candles are 2 hours apart, so when Rakutan’s candle closes at 10:00, IG is 12:00

Starting out you should be 60-65% successful. Within 1 to two months you should be 70-80% successful.. IF... you follow the simple rules and simple exits... 3-6 months... 85% successful. Don't complicate it... keep it simple. Buy your wheel barrow..

I never knownly take a draw back of 40-50 pips even on the 4hr. I generally exit at 10-15 pips to keep my profit and I'll re-enter when it turns back. If it happens when I'M SLEEPING... SO WHAT ... I never know about it... S/L at last HH or LL. It turns out in my favor most of the time. I lose about 2 trades out of 14-16 trades. I can live with that. I choose my trades carefully making sure they meet the entry rules spot on... and pass on the iffy ones and go hunt other charts.

I have never heard half discretionary in my last 9 years trading. No article I have read about this. No ff post I found about this.
All of sudden our Tommy found a new method that is half discretionary.

start with Synergy the way the OP Big E did back in 2006. Then slowly work your way through Synergy Advanced 2.0 and now Synergy Pro

Keep It Simple:
Develop a System Strategy
Have your own trade plan
Be Disciplined
Follow Simple Rules for Entries and Exits .
