Saw a potential Gartley forming on the 244Tick chart so scaled back to 89T to see if I could trade.

Entered aggressive C buy into the Gartley (ABCD).

There are 2 trendlines.

The higher one is the 15 mins chart trendline and the lower one is 5 mins trendlines.

Remember that the market tends to revert back to the mean, and the mean is moving all the time.

As long as we are below those trendlines I would not touch a buy. Even if we are a little bit above them I would still not buy because it may revert back to the mean, go below the trendline and ....

Also, look at the image I attached.

There is a new algo in town. See how the price behaves for like 30 minutes. These moves are 100% controlled by an algo to confuse the EAs that you might have because they give one minute a direction and the next minute another direction. Lost a shitton of money in these 30 minutes.

Now I try to figure out how to beat that

If you are to calculate the mean price for that period it would be a straight line. Basically the price bounced from one part to the other of a fixed price. This is not natural at all!!

There is a lot of bearish pressure and I also see some profit taking from sellers who sold at higher levels targeting that area (2011). Just open a weekly chart if, you havent yet and you will see.

So update on this. The "C" buy was invalidated by a drop below the 78.6% fib. PA has come up above my buy level and am now in a BE.

I understand. I am talking about the 1 min price action.

Somewhere there are some moves that need to be made and there is an algo that makes everything to confuse everyone about the direction to take. Again, that particular move should have never occured. Of course there is always a chance that it is a coincidence but for something like that to happen, the chance is very very small.
