Agree on that USD call. I trade; I swing trade so holding extended periods and certain levels of draw down are not for me.

Also I feel that the short trade on USD is crowed..which would lead to an epic short squeeze...trade safe!

trying to convince yourself you made a good decision not taking the risk on shorting the cable when you wanted to do so...Friday felt good having restraint and not taking a chance because I had no idea the outcome of the Sunday deadline....while looking at the gap down continue to grow...makes it hard REALLY HARD to feel okay about making a smart choice

EDIT: Then again I could have been feeling like some other traders maybe feeling right now who held longs. That's why I spoke on it a couple times last week...
Cant wait to see how the FF live account numbers change when the market opens....current 116 traders long with 33 long lots.

Hello traders, I hope everyone made adjustments to our views and have made changes to our expectations accordingly.
For what I can see we have entered into Holiday thin trading and volume or participation of some of the banks and institutions are going to be light.
What that means is that whoever remains in play is going to be able to swing these markets up or down and establish a range but no follow through to either the top or bottom of such range is to be breached in a big way.
Now is the time to scalp and play these ranges. As of now we have a top and this gap down is only an opportunity to get in and wait for the gap to be filled... it will happen.
This is a news driven market for now and to be honest as many will agree a pullback and subsequently a consolidation was in the cards for this pair. It has been running hot for a while now...
The 1.2190 and 1.2270 are the ranges I expect to play within in this range I mentioned and remember that this is only my opinion and you should act accordingly based on your trade plan

One of my friend called morning and said he got euro pending buy order kept at 1.2245 got executed at same price.. The high showing is 1.2235.
Such trade possible in forex? Or it is pure manipulation?

depends on broker time stamp, if they permit sunday trading

normally this happens with WHITE LABEL BROKERS who work as IB of another and manipulate spreads
