Large DD around 48%.

- in system development we must also include the system drawdown DD but do not look at short term DD so early just with 10 trades.
- look at the DD at intervals of 100 trades, then 200 trades,.... till the first completed 1,000 trades.
- know the DD amount and more important is the DD duration of the system
- next, is the recovery period from the DD
- if the system has a robust recovery strategy and tested for DD of 10&, 20%, 30% and so on, I would feel comfortable with DD recovery strategy
- the DD you see in MT4 Trade Report is not a best to consider, you need to look at the trading style if the trader is hedging with buy and sell in that same account, and if the trader is trading with multiple positions for the same signal. etc. many factors to consider when you forward test any trading system.
- in any case, the amount of money a trader deposit in his broker trading account is not the full 100% of their business capital,

Let's look at Big E, he deposit USD10,000 into his FXDD broker account and that USD10,000 is not his full trading capital, could be just 2-3%, .
When he risk 15% to 30% of that USD10,000 per trade and trading full standard lots, then if he suffers a 50% DD, that will not hurt him and he can then top up to USD10,000 again and continue with his Las Vegas trading.

Time will reveal, so be patient wait, sit back then do quarterly review.

Hey guys,

I have now read through the Best of Big E PDFs twice. I've applied his method in live trading and I can say it works and it works very well. I have made over 20 trades so far mainly on hourly charts and I think this is the first system I have tested so far that is so consistent.

So far I have been trading without using Stoch as I saw that Big E said that it's not required and you can trade this method without it.

Now I'm looking at introducing the Stoch indicator into my trading. On TradingView which stoch indicator are you using and what settings are you guys using?

I'm currently using the Lazy Bear TDI indicator as recommended by Trekkies.

When day trading GBPUSD M15 any day, the wider the Asian high-low (aka Tokyo channel) the better.

PipCop... The wider the Tokyo Channel the better your swings. By all means keep trading buddy.

As I said a few posts back he uses the fractals only for a visual identification where the tops and bottoms of the swings were. Did you notice his resist/support lines for the swings too. That indicator is in this thread if you want to use that.

He looks for his stoch lines to be at a 12-2 or 4-6 angle. Nothing is perfect all the time in the forex for sure. If it is correct 70-80% of the time... that gives you the Traders Edge which is so important when trading. If your using good money management rules, follow the system rules... you should be successful. Look how well PipTalk did his first week a couple of posts above. He increased his account size 12%!


It's impossible to see the clock angles until the trade gets going. You have to look at the reversal lines that are either hooking down or up to know the reversal is in progress or is about to start happening.

This style of trading does not fit everyones personality... and that's ok. With systems that work... if it fits, wear it. In years past I've used good systems but they just didn't fit my personality and so I got rid of them while others loved them.

I check my alerts every 15 mins when I am looking for trade setup.

When the M15 candle closes the H1 candle, I will know if there is my favourite setup with price action and MOMENTUM.

Doing Review end of the session and end of the day is important.
Dr.Brett N. Steenbarger Recommends doing a Trading review every day every week and every month.

I am lazy I don't do Pre-market analysis, I don't do Post market trade analysis.
I don't do Trade by Trade Review. I don't do through process analysis. That is why I could not reach my goal yet.
I have to do all of this to understand and learn from my mistake. I make mistake I am not Robot.

edit- Dr.Brett N. Steenbarger also recommends identify your strong or good decisions point too.
I think I make one good decision that is exiting the last trade all candles are going flat.

I did join a live trading group way back in the mid-90s and learn a lot from experienced traders and learn things you don't get to read and learn from books.

The thought process of those traders and their composure when they are trading is unbelievable. Taking losses did not hurt them nor caused them any stress.... always relax and composed.
