@Emmanuel I can see that you are putting in the effort, just by looking at you check up on the ATR range, I do the similiar when i want to trade check the ADR range and so on. Your techniques look legit to me but i still don't get the point of sharing your work and knowledge on someone elses thread, you do your own work and start your own thread, in my opinion it will be better for you too since now you won't be seeing the people you don't want at first point, secondly you'll be interacting the people that wants to learn more from you. Because ''Big-E'' was a Basket Trader, and maybe you are too but you also teach scalping in an effective way. You could have your own fancy thread with a legit TE, nice decoration, less stress and so on.

He has already posted more than once that he will never do the right thing and leave this thread focused on BigE's material. He thinks it is better to highjack, corrupt, and pollute the thread and to try to bully others into doing it HIS way instead of simply opening a new thread. That's the narcissist showing through: He does not want to risk giving up the "admirers" that he believes are swarming here. In addition, his ego would take a severe blow if he got low traffic in his own thread, like his current failed thread, and more failures might push him over the edge to another mental breakdown.

i didnt get this example quiet right,i thought it will be buy setup but you are saying we scalp for sell? so many indications for buy,why would we sell? in my opinion this is not a good example of setup hunting,plz show us more examples for day trading since we are new,scalping is very risky if we have not mastered the system yet,thanks Em!

Oh man, sounds like an apocalyptic scenario to me. I thought we were supposed to extract emotions in order to be become successful traders.
If he wants to find succsess with advertising,teaching or whatever his aim is, it is always better to create a path of his own imo, that is what i wanted to make clear. But perhaps he just does not, and wants to keep doing stuff here, cheers.

It appears that you need a bit more practice in distinguishing between trend continuation trades and counter-trend trades. Because he has decided to use price bar versus the EMA5 to decide direction, then any trades taken against that direction are counter-trend trades that bring inherently greater risk. However, if you know how to analyze smaller TFs, you can help mitigate the risk via the smaller TFs.

Also, when you see him use the term "scalp trade", you need to also substitute "counter-trend trade" to see if that fits, because the guy does a great job of mixing the two terms, even though they are not synonymous.

To learn what Trading Made Simple is, you have to follow the trading journey of the OP eelfranz aka Big E. He started as a newbie in 2008. Know the history and you will learn a lot from the OP and when you have mastered the 5-Method, you can then move on and develop your own trading system following how he did his. In Post#1, he explained how he traded the H4 chart timeframe and he also traded the H1 chart during the NY session. This suited his lifestyle being retired and the time zone he lived. Sadly he passed away in Oct 2012.

When you are overwhelmed (information overload) by the number of posts and the loads of information and variations shared by other traders here, the best thing to do is to stop reading and go back to the basics what Big E mentioned in his 463 posts in this thread and 861 posts in the CHS thread. First you learn and master the 5-Method first before you start add your own tweaks and make a new system.

Recommendations:
Read all of Big E posts... 861posts in the Craig Harris Stochastics thread and 463 posts in this TMS thread....and make notes on those training charts he posted. Pay attention whenever he mentioned PA and what you see on his training charts.

Learn the basic stuff about forex trading first. A good place to start is www.babypips.com/school

If you want to trade the way Big E described in Post#1, make sure you use his template , the Synergy APB / HA candles and use that TDI Red Green version. These are in Post#25.

Important to Note that the TDI Red Green version repaints all the bars in history so you cannot use this when you do back-testing by scrolling back your charts. The better way is to run this in live market and trade the TMS setups based on what you see without refreshing your charts. When you want to trade with entries on the APB#1 and APB#2 candles, always wait for the price bar/candle to close and use the TDI to confirm the setup.

Big E was a rule-based discretionary trader. According to studies by Dr Van K Tharp this rule-based discretionary are the best traders,
