guys this is a suggestion only...... lets say if the trade go against our directon..what if we only open another position if the body of next candle is at least 50 pips. lot of times the next candle is only a doji or if not it has a very small body. this way we can minimize the risk/ avoid many position open on the same pair. again only suggestion...thanks
Is there a way to turn off popup window with the alert when changing symbol from chart?
So many TP's hit in the last 36 hours.
You must be mad not trading this simple strategy.

Already implemented that in my EA and checked with several ATR Time-Frames, periods and factors.
No added value in this idea.

New version available, with new features:

* Spread+Commission column /0.01 lots allows you to compare different brokers' conditions at a glance
* Alerts can now be turned off
* Dynamic limits as alternative, based on ATR settings you can change

All I am using attached EA to execute my trades and I am having fair results, close of candle by me is midnight, GMT +2 and I cannot be awake at that time. I usually have to get to bed by latest 23:00 to be up for work next day. So I then check DB and see possible setups and then activate the EA to trade at a certain time. I have been trying different times as suggested by simlee89, just before candle close or at 01:00 when the spread normalized, works quite well. I believe if I can activate the EA at 23:59 I would get a better result but the EA...
Thanks for sharing your EA. But what I really don't understand, why do you want to make a bid at 23:59? Just to have a swap from broker? This is not the best idea to my mind.

Any idea when the EA will be ready smilee89? Been testing this manually, but can be a little hard to keep on top of it manually, the strategy has huge potential though
you should code something like this,

green row= ATR%, for me needs to be over 150%, then number turns purple.

blue row= Bodysize, needs to be 110 pips or more, number then turns red

can also switch inbetween pairs using the buttons to the left

Good point, did not think about that, thought it would be a good idea to catch the trade before the spread increases, I am testing now at 01:00 and works okay, going to stay up one night just to catch a idea of my broker's spread at midnight.

Thx for the heads up anyway appreciate.

ps also did not mention the EA is set on points for TP so I you want 20pips you need to set it to 200.

Hello,
i did a backtest according to the rules of strategy. Unfortunately, there was no statistical advantage for the change of direction after the spike candle.
Depending on the period and currency. Changing or handling the direction was more successful.
As a result, the strategy is only successful due to the large intervals between day candles and an averaging approach.

The blue column is already done.
How do you want to calculate the ATR%, as a Growth rate? Can you please explain. thx

thought to do a manual test for G/N from 1/1/20 till present on the daily chart.....
the average daily range for the last 250 days is 197 pips.....
body 100-120 pips; 13 days; average 112 pips max
body 121-140 pips; 13 days; average 86 pips max
body 141-160 pips; 12 days; average 68 pips max
body 161-180 pips; 8 days; average 148 pips max
body 181-200 pips; 5 days; average 185 pips max
body 201+ pips ; 15 days; average 86 pips max

price favours our direction between 8 - 417 pips.

if you are looking for a 50 pip profit, 22 days out of 66 days you will not get there....
