Such a big problem, but you give so few details: here we go...

Are you using a different Indicator Number for each instance?

It's OK now.
Default daily basket runs with 5%SL/2.5%TP ratio. So 2:1 risk:reward and not 1:2 as you were saying.

This means ultimately nothing without win:loss ratio, what we are trying to figure out in long term I guess.

CMSM is an indicator. It should be placed into the indicators folder.

Thanks grandaevus, I notice now in brackets you report the two strength levels wile the previous version had a unique value.
Is this the only difference?
With the previous version I had an immediate value of the strength of the pair, I personally liked that.

Sorry, I asked for it.

This is the "old" way of showing it - instead of some black box synthetic index, Grandaevus has reverted back to sorting pairs per strength and in brackets individual strength levels of pairs is shown. This has more information as it shows which currency within the pair is stronger of the bunch and what is the balance between the pairs as well.

I think it was prudent choice. Big moves like today on EUR and GBP can kill daily basket with retrace if you step in at wrong time. The pattern is similar what has happened many times in october - RB is opened just after the big moves are done and the basket is at the mercy of retrace.

My daily has been floating between -3.3% and +1% today.

Mrdfx - may I ask why did you chose not to update VB after the RB is opened? So strategy trusts indicator at the time when RB is opened but does not trust it during the RB run...

OK, so you would not like to take advantage of indicator suggestions for intraday trading which daily basket is meant to do?

Based on 2 months forward testing with my modded demo, allowing EA to add pairs based on indicator suggestions have always been good for the basket results. If the added pairs meet VB criterias. Based on my experience, the bad results have been almost exclusively caused by the pairs which were present when the RB was initially opened. Basically more pairs have brought in better results than increased risk, based on my experience.

Say you start off with weak basket of 2-3 pairs, which go nowhere and market starts to move. Seen that many times how the indicator just lights up. If no additional pairs are added you are stuck whatever you got in RB from the get-go, instead of taking advantage of additional pairs. Yes, every new pair brings in potential risk but intraday I have not really withessed it so far.

Again, this is my experience and only for 2 months, so feel free to ignore

Your words are very useful Ilvez. Are you sure if vb not refreshed it won't allow to update rb ?

Yes, RB is not updated what I can see from todays Default Daily. Maybe Jess or Mrdfx can comment on that function behaviour. I recall some discussions from 2018 what I read but cant find it thru search anymore.

I started to run live on 1.Sep and had setting turned on immediately. Results are not really representative with default Daily Basket because I sometimes triggered VBs manually, closed VBs and RBs manually and ran different opening times. I ran different indicator settings and quite different basket settings. I eliminated bunch of pairs. I tried not to trade on Fridays.

In short - the live acc. was up by +25% within 2 weeks of September (yay!). Since then I have lost all of the 25% because of my greed, stupidity and excessive manual overrides. Typical stuff when one sees (illusional) money printing setup Keeping decent discipline, I would be sitting at +15% appx as of now. Well, lessons learned.

But also I learned that adding pairs during the basket run did not have any adverse effects. Vice versa, it helped sometimes out baskets starting off only with 3-4 pairs and to finish as a nice 8 deal one. I speak of course based on my 1.5 month run on live and appx 2 month testing on demos since end of August. So it does not carry the "10-month forward testing" approval stamp

So I suggest you give it a go on demo and see how it works out for you.

Sorry to say, but Default Daily (demo) was closed today by timer at 15:55GMT with the loss of -2.7%. It peaked in the beginning to +1% and then it was red for the rest of the day.

Bringing the running monthly tally in October to -29% for the Default Daily.

Maybe this is just a bad month in general, but I really encourage you to analyse the market conditions and as Jess says "take profit when you see profit". And do not hesitate to analyse what is causing the string of bad patches, and make reasonable adjustments to the EA based on that. Good times don't teach us really anything, so lets be grateful for the bad...
