Swap can be used as a trend indicator. Only trade in a direction that the broker will punish with a large swap. Intraday.

Need some help. I understand the concept of QM and few trades punched in the past. However, i would like to get your feedback on the following:
a) What filters can be applied to select quality trades instead of entering at every QM?
b) QM in a smaller timeframe will look like an engulfing candle in higher timeframe. However, it will result in lot of stop-out trades if we take such engulfing candle trades (using the wicks) blindly. I attempted to automate backtesting using engulfing pattern but outcomes are not positive. How do we scan for QM? Is QM represented using other candlestick patterns that can be scanned for? Again, any filters that can be added for automated testing?
c) Is trend an important consideration while trading QM? QMs mostly occur during trend transition period.
d) Some reference materials mentioned initially in this forum are no longer available for access. Where to study to get to know the pattern deeper?
e) Is it traded using multiple timeframe analysis or using single timeframe?
