I find that a retrace happens very quickly. In 1-3 bars and price has changed direction. Generally a reversal is slower. You get a retrace and then price takes another run towards the outer BB but doesnt make it. Then you have a reversal. I watch the H1 charts which make it fairly clear.

If I am not sure I will wait on a close through the 20ma (centre BB)

Do you know the timeframe relation? like for example im used to be looking mainly at the M5 or M15, the range you are talking about is the H4? (if im using these TF?)

In theory its based on the fact that the MaHi or MaLo close outside TBB or LBB, respectively

When i see a pin bar, i wait to see whether the next candle close above or below the pin bar. Assuming a pair is in uptrend, and pin bar appears, dont rush into selling, wait for the next candle whether it closes above or below the pin bar. It is only when candle closes below pin bar that one can sell at least for retrace, but if candle closes above pin bar, the bulls are in control

That is what i dont really understand bcs whenever i watched or read anything about BBMA it always says that CSM cancels the EXT but most of the EXT have CSMs

ComarFX or in BBMA youtube videos , he recommend we mapped out from overall timeframe like mn1 to h1
to identify Trend (EMA50 ) > Type of BB (Sideway or Momentum) > Setup (REE & MLV) > The point of entry (Buy on Lwma5 Lo / Sell on Lwma5 Hi)
you should use 3 different TF to multiple timeframe analysis
and BBMA videos he recommend beginner to master "REE" (After CSD,CSM, MidBB) not try to counter Extreme it's harder
and you should wait for MLV to counter not every Extreme (Ext just show where CS reversal to tp wajip and reentry)
but if you want to counter Extreme , i think Akim's Strategy is suits for you thats need Price action included to identify where is area of value and wait Setup

all code BBMA applies to all TFs
I explain this problem because xnaro is confused about identifying the extreme correctly

I don't understand what you mean by the word ..... not work out
I hope you understand
if there is CSM at the extreme you have to wait for a valid buy csm at low lwma
and you can sell extreme on mhv/mlv ... take a look my picture again
on your gold chart extreme and csm you must wait on lwma high to sell csm...

that is extreme lwma
the second is extreme when the candle cross top or bottom BB but close in BB
and no more csm

My Daily chart for GU... Just sharing some of my thoughts
There haven't been much movement for GU today, unlike a strong bullish on Monday

Chances are GU will go bearish for the next 2 days towards support at 1.2775 and the 200EMA (Purple).
With the falling wedge pattern and 50EMA (Blue), the resistance might be too strong for it to breakthrough.
GU tested earlier on 50EMA and wasn't successful in breaking through

For structure to be valid, today's candle should not close below 1.27621
