Pipvalue is different per pairs as you know.

I believe on average that would be in range of 60-70pips for 2.5% gain with default risk of 0.01/200.

Why are you using pips as a target and not % from equity?

Mrdfx, quick question - I see that your daily basket default setting enables trading on Fridays as well.

If I may ask, what did your stats were telling on the costs/benefits for Friday trading? E.g. did you keep a log on SLs hit and whether Friday is actually overall a good day for trading DAily Basket, or should it be avoided (common sense). Its been a mixed bag for last 1.5 months or so for me personally e.g. net outcome is rather flat - some supergood Fridays, followed by SL on Fridays.

Yes I trade Fridays. Some don't like trading on Fridays and some don't like trading on Mondays, and that's their own preference and that's totally fine.

I didn't keep exact notes of which days were more profitable or not, but I did try keep a kind of mental note and from my observations in my testing there was no specific day that stood out. Some days did well and then sometimes not, and Friday was the same like the others, it had its wins and its losses. I remember having profitable Fridays and losses as well.

You have to remember the market is dynamic and things can change really fast so a basket opened in the morning when there is still a lot of market volatility can still be profitable like all the other days. The only thing I see about trading on Fridays is not holding positions over the weekend, but then with this strategy we are flat come London close so no problem there.

You are welcome to take notes on each individual days results and see if anything stands out to you over the long term, I'll be interested to see your stats.

Many thanks! Very good info and I will keep eye on how Fridays play out for myself. Your daily setup was really good eye opener that month to month consistency can be achieved with daily basket AND very good R:R ratio for EA of 2:1. Well done!

I have made some tweaks, mainly from my view to introduce some more conservatism into pairs selection and transfer from VB to RB. 1.5 months with demo and live have been exceptional, with the exception of 3 quick SLs in short order, which I blame myself mostly. Well, you never learn in better way than suffering real loss on live account

Will keep you posted on Fridays developments. Actually I was planning to use the all-over approach for the week e.g. if I have hit 7.5% weekly, then I just stop. Also, when hitting SL, it seems it is a good idea to stop for a 1-2 days to make sure indicators and market conditions line up again. Desperately jumping into trades next day can be costly.

MT4 is updated to Built 1280 may be build 1260 caused the issue

What are your exact issues?

Run the strategy on demo acc, until you are 100% comfortable with its behaviour.

may be my broker is the problem, Im testing on different brokers now! problem is many are gettting profit not me with same settings!

What makes you think that everyone is getting profit but you? Many of us dont report here about every TP or SL hit. Last week wiped profits from previous 3 weeks in my live account (not running default daily settings!) And? It happens, need to analyse why and move on. As long the system is good over long term period, it does not matter.

Broker is least of the issues. There can be few seconds difference in VB openings and completely different outcome for the day. Sometimes 2 accounts running on same broker produce very different results. There are a lot of variables in play.

Stick to demo, run default settings and move to live when you are comfortable.

just to clarify, chandana47 meant other people using the same settings (i.e.) mrdfx daily settings are reporting profits where he is getting losses, and that is to an extent true. He wasn't comparing himself to all others using different types of settings.

There was one day recently where the basket didn't even come close to the stoploss, but he was stopped out. So I asked him to check his settings and his broker feed. There should not be such wild differences when using the exact same settings, in my opinion, but i may be wrong

I have updated the mt4 to 1280 build and it is liter than 1260 and smooth ! pepperstone account also placed apart from Icmarket thanks Blam and Ilvez for the support! Last option is changing the VPS. It's a new month to come in a while with new hopes

Twi brokers behaving differently ! In the end of the month I will decide who is the best first one is Icmarket and second one is pepperstone respectively

both have same profit pips
