1) Wrong!
You can back-test the Traders_Dynamic_Index using history price data. Some traders use Forex Tester 2.0 and learned from back-testing. the re-painting is not the reason why it cannot be tested.

2) Post #336 The OP wanted you to learn EVERYTHING fast starting in his old thread.

Those wanting more examples go to Forum: Commercial, then Craig Harris Stochastics Method... then start reading on page 246, post 3676 to the end... you will learn more fast... We switched from there to only discuss this method in the new forum...

I took those entries based off 5-method, not TDI cross

As I've said before. Sometimes price crossing the shifted 5 ema will translate as green crossing red on the TDI.

That's why my entries here looks like i took em off TDI. No, i used the shifted 5 EMA

That sampling has good entries, and several even follow what I consider a more conservative and reliable entry.

So, if you say you miss your TP, I would say that you are setting some hard TP based on wrong criteria like the nefarious R:R.

Did you check what the "usual" number of pips are for a swing on that Pair and TF in that time of day?

Did you consider what BigE said about have around 3-8 HA bars per swing?

No need to for TDI Vline rubbish when trading Big E' 5-Method. You build confidence by trading in realtime live markets and learn from every trade - win or loss.

The TDI green line is always late because it is a 2 period moving average... get rid of it. Big E did posted 'two solutions' to get rid of the TDI green line.

Big E already said years ago that you can trade his 5-Method without the TDI

Big E would look to the left side of his charts and look for recent swing highs and swing lows, he also look at price action around those 00 levels, a lot of things he look at .... Post#647 is not that easy.

You first look at TDI.
- No cross No trade.
If there is a crossover
- What is the angle of TDI green
Does Stoch confirm direction
Only after that you start with Post#647.
- Where is support / resistance
- Is there consolidation
- What TDI level did the crossover happen (68, 50, 32)
- How does the bar's / wick's look like.
- Will the entry be with the long term or short term trend.

Only showed you how you can study / learn this method, now you can start to learn on your own how to use TDI with BigE's advice.

7 entries. 1 loss. With Multi-lot entry. The loss would have been avoided

But remember, if you are looking for what BigE presented in THIS thread, he said that TDI is the heart of the system!

He opened THIS thread to deal ONLY with the 5-method from the Craig Harris Stochastics thread. So, one would immediately expect that the focus in THIS thread would be on that ema5. But instead, what does he focus on? TDI!!!

I just glance at the TDI for set ups when the new candle opens... If I see a set up... green just crossing red ...

If you want to focus on the ema5 with PA (HA bars), then you are in the wrong thread.

(Well, actually, considering how this has been the DUMP THREAD for a very long time now, you can post nearly anything here, as long as there is not potential for it to cause legal backlash with the administration. But then you just add to the confusion for the newcomers that can't figure out what the system in this thread actually is.)

This thread is basically the 5 method but simpler. Dont you guys see? Its the reason for the name "TRADING MADE SIMPLE"

Big E noticed this phenomenon and just made TDI crossing to signal a trade. But sometimes. TDI crossing can give late entries especially on H1. Thats why he said we should enter between candle 1 and 3. Thats also why he said we should exit when the TDI flattens, hooks or checkmarks contrary to what dean said. sometimes there are some crosses that will immediately cross again some may flatten on the next candle and you will exit on loss. But these rarely happen on H4. Thats why he traded H4 instead of H1, M15 and M5.

These where things that made me doubt the TDI at a point. when i kept getting whiplashed by the market on H1 and M15 cos of entering on the cross (all entry requirement Big E stated were met). I figured it was because of late entry and I also noticed market momentum becomes exhausted by the time i entered. Sometimes Market would retrace 20-30 pips (SL hit) before going in my direction but Emmanuel kept baggin pips. I also noticed he enters way earlier than the TDI. At first i thought he was just misunderstanding the TDI cross and getting lucky, but the frequency of his wins was too much to be luck or co-incidence. So i got to learn about CHS Big E original strategy that got kicked into commercial forum. Now my entries are on time. Retracements arent a problem. SL hardly gets hit (TMS Multi-Lot system helps this too).

This thread is basically the 5-method simplified.

We all enter based on TDI, stochs and 5ema. Just that is certain market conditions. The TDI can be late

You cannot simply say, "The TDI can be late". The TDI is never late: It is just a calculation with a visual display. Perhaps COMPARED to another indicator, the TDI signal is sometime later than the signal of the other indicator.

And so you conclude the same as I stated already: The TDI is the heart and focus of THIS thread, not the ema5. The focus on ema5 is in some other thread.

Granted that it could be very USEFUL to many traders to have the additional information from other threads, but BigE made it clear

I wanted a method that was simple, worked on all timeframes, simple rules, few indicators.... that when looking at my simple chart it just shouted out what I needed to do and developed a method that is 70-80%+ wins for me on a regular basis.

The key to this method is the Traders Dynamic Index indicator for entries and exits. I also use a Stochastics (8,3,3) indicator. It is ONLY used to confirm direction. Nothing else.

Of course he also used HA bars, but most people don't count that as an indicator.

So, NO TALK OF USING EMA5 IN THIS TMS THREAD!!

The larger the risk, the larger the gain, so I just trade less lots accordingly: the bigger the stop, the bigger the TP, the less I trade, and vice-versa. The return ends up being about the same overall. So no need to have bigger pockets to trade any profitable strategy, no matter the timeframe.
If I don't mention SL and/or TP = longer-term setup possibly in the works!
