I applied for options trading on Ameritrade. I went through online schooling the only thing I didn't see when I open a contract it say " buy to open, sell to open, buy to close ,sell to close. What is the difference. Also I am thinking of opening put contracts on tesla tommorow

Alright folks, I am posting 2 charts so people who use my MA set up can see how to easily find the best long entries on the 4H chart using the 1H chart. Use the TP target you want, HH on 4H in an uptrend is a good target for example. Anyhow, this should provide a lot of info on entries and exits now that you can get awesome entries without using a lot of technical indicators other than easy MA lines. If anyone has questions, send me a private message and I will see it on email and reply. In a few hours, I will be out of the forum for 30 days taking a break from posting but not a break from trading.
Hoe this helps some people who may be having trouble with getting great entries. Play around with it, mark your crosses with a yellow box or straight lines up and down, look how it acts on different time frames. Stay green everyone.

This is how I view the daily chart, break above the upper descending trendline and I would assume we are heading towards 1.20, break below the lower ascending trendlines and I would take it as a visit to 1.170-1.160 [probably] .. and a break above the upper ascending trendlines, I would be looking towards 1.122-1.125

I hate td because it is so complex. More for advance traders ..
basically you want to do contract to limit your lost and maximize your profit.

Meaning you are only buying put(short) or buying call(long)

You dont want to exercise your contract bc that would mean you would buy or sell in replace 100share for the contracts.

simply just sell the contract
