It is incredible how fast price can travel, but it always stops before it writes 100 pips. GU left me for 3,7 pips! Now I wait for TP.

Edit: It did the same yesterday after the FED, it left me for 0.9 pips, I had to close the half, it turned and took my stop at +50.

Thanks for putting up this perspective.
I missed out this this scenario. In fact, to my trading style, this scenario looks bullish, where price should ideally burst (very briefly) above the channel top and above 1.20, and then begins its longer term bear.
That's why I like forums like this, so that we can cross-reference and not have bias or tunnel vision.

I short it manually at 1.2974 to target 1.29. Entered just before BOE on purpose.
But is just a small position, incase BOE made it spike up.

Okay been away, rest of the long @ 1.1820 was closed in BE. Tried a long @ 1.1750, closed half @ 1.1800 and rest running @ BE. But if 1.1750 is broken, I will try and short it to target 1.1700 and possibly try to ride half of that position to 1.165-1.160. Reason to enter a long @ 1.1750 was the rejection on H1 and previous structure holding support, didn't wait for confirmation though as I had 50 pips in the bag for the week already, and booked 50 more now @ 1.180.

I’d hold it. Strong down side + US is starting to fight back. Seems as ifncorrection is just right around the corner

For me, I decided to closed all GBPUSD shorts when it reached 1.2866, neckline of a mini double bottom.
