the structure AUDNZD pointing down.. what wesee now the structure trying to make a lowest high.. im basicly not trading at this pair.. but if i i want to go long i will patienty waiting price breach 1.09582 than a buy setup i will prepare..

Stumbling on this thread has helped me improved on my trading. At least I've moved from blowing up my small account to making a few pips here and there.
Hope to learn more as I study how more experienced traders analyse and trade eu. Though there seems to be a lot of drama here but thanks to those who post useful chats for us newbies.

Glad to see you are learning! Unfortunately, this thread gets caught up in a lot of drama, drama that doesn't really help anyone to become better traders. There are some good traders in here, but beware of the drama!

we must understand the proper definition of the problem, before we solve the problem.

technical analysis implies that we are using math to:

1) make a decision to go long or short or remain neutral.

2) determine the entry and exit prices.

3) determine the number of lots to bet.

algorithmic trading implies that we are automating the process of technical analysis.

omg, again this is a demo account and i dont mind losing a demo account at all..

but that is nothing compared to the real losses that i have suffereded by running my code using real money.

True, but an automated system has serious limitations in that it can only do what it's programmed to do. That's one of the main reasons why automated systems often fail the test of time. A human can look at a chart and see that even though a signal appears, common sense says it's not the right time to enter a trade. But an automated system would enter a trade against better judgment and likely lose.

The automated systems I have found to be useful are those that have to do with money management (managing a trade), such as an EA that moves a stop loss to break even at a certain pip amount. Some breakout systems could also be useful depending on how they manage the trade.
