{quote} As I mentioned in my previous post, it should be a trader's decision totally, whether to reveal his trade size/account size or not, and I fully respect a trader's decision. Struggling trader does not always mean a losing trader. There can be a struggle for a trader, who is much comfortable and winning with a 4 digit account, but unable to handle a proportional bigger sizes with a 5 digit account due to psychological factors. IMHO, observing a fellow trader who is handling a 5 digit or 6 digit account with ease can help him to learn and develop...

There you go, you answered your question. You read a book, you paid and ordered a book, and read it. Here we share free information. We are taking couple of hours out a day, to share free information here. If lazy rookies do not like that, they need to get off their lazy behind and put the work into it. If not, they will never learn to trade. We are not obligated to do anything for struggling traders and rookie traders. IF they do not like it, they can ignore the useful information and move on. Those that want to learn, will pay attention and use the free information as best as they can. I have when I started trading.

{quote} Most of what you said are related to risk reward reward. The only one that is not is, decision of, if going long or short. But if you base your decision with indicators, you know you're gonna be fucked up in the long run right? It's sometimes right, sometimes wrong. Anyways, i don't do R:R ratio, that is not what I like about the quote. I just like the way he mention all those indis and say none of them knows where the market is going.

{quote} probably the most basic and most important part of technical analysis is about deciding to go long or short or neutral. this is the sixty four million dollar question. this is the thing that baffles traders, not risk:reward.. risk and reward calculations are simple.

You traded for 17.5 years, I assume, your 64M question is the same amount of money that you've lost. Untill now, you make the decision of your trade base on indicators and use it as a signal?

{quote} With regards to the other trader you mentioned. You said it right, he acquired amazing skills. But your concern is, if what he is showing is demo. You know what, when I was following him, what I see is his skills, his great insights, his way of viewing the market. I don't even care if it's a demo or real, I don't care if he's using small or big lot size.. all I care is to learn. The problem with some of you, you only see the specks in the window, you missed the beauty of the view. A brotherly advice, if you really want to learn, focus on...

Thanks for your post. Please do not get offended. I clearly mentioned in my previous post that I was looking for certain specific things to learn and I did not find any learning as things I was looking for are not applicable to demo accounts.

Please understand that different traders are at a different level in their trading journey. It is not always necessary for a profitable full time trader to keep learning about how to read price charts. As far as reading the charts is concerned, there is certain realization acquired/reached about the price methods and the ways it moves, and its same rinse and repeat.

After that stage, it is more about other aspects of trading. The saying that successful trading (especially millionaire+ traders) is 20% methodological and 80% psychological is a true statement based on data. Hence in a case of a demo account, it kind of nullifies many aspects of that 80% part.

My recent stumbling blocks are psychological after reaching 6 figure $ profits in a year. I suspended trading in my main account due to that and trying to fix my issues. In fact, at the start of this month, moved from MT4 to ctrader platform to trade a shoestring account as I learnt that ctrader platform can help fix some issues with certain aspects of my trade management. I traded less than an hour per day (mainly, when US cash opens) during this month. It went like this so far...

{quote} Yeah I find it odd that they said the person is good, really good apparently. But somehow seeing the demo changed that.... I would like to know who this person is, I would like to what I can learn. Demo or not.... If they are winning then I can apply that to my love account if it's obvious this person has a winning system

There are many multi millionaire demo traders, alas, if only demo trading can be replicated to real trading, trading world would overflow with millionaire traders! If you are thinking, what is the difference, please read my above post.

not "those" indicators, sir, i dont use "those" indicators.

"those" indicators are all based upon moving averages, and they simply do not work.

If that's the case then the solution is easy, look somewhere else that will fit with your perspective. There's a lot of traders out there, but don't make us do something that you want. You said you want to learn, then learn. But don't demand.

Ha!, I answered my question??

My point being there was a free public blog on the internet by a retail trader showing his trade account size etc. and it helped and inspired many traders . Due to the success of that blog, main posts of that blog were published as a book after few years.

I hope you do understand that I am in no way asking for a trader to reveal his account size/ trade sizes, if he/she does not want to reveal it.

My humble opinion is just that, if a trader chooses to do it, then there is a possibility that it can help some other traders in psychological aspects of trading. Lets agree to disagree with our specific individual opinions and ground the topic.

What did I demand? Please read properly and do not assume. I demanded nothing.

I merely expressed my opinion in a very respectful way to a question you posed. Since when did it become forbidden that some one can not express their opinion in a public forum?

My take on EURUSD. Could be bullish.
It has broke below channel, but....it has no bearish follow-thru, and also bounced up off a possible rising line.

Last week sees GBPUSD falling like a rock with BREXIT worries.
But apparently these worries are contained just to GBP, while other Majors like EURUSD just stand aside to watch. No rushing to any safe haven currency.

The US Feds literally gave the greenlight to have a weak currency. I think so will Japan.
Does the market not worry that BREXIT will cause much shockwaves to the rest of the world?

Even Yen-pairs (exclude GBPJPY) looks poised to rally. USDJPY is converging, and if it decides to break upward with big force, the Yen-pairs will all rally to challenge their 2020 highs.

I had been shorting EURUSD, EURJPY, this week but did not see the down moves, hence decided to close for the weekend for safety, and reassess the possibilities.
(I avoided GBP, as I think I am not skillful enough to chase it down)

(Daily chart of EURUSD, Daily chart of USDJPY)

Will see what next week brings.

As I mentioned in the month of August that we could see upward movement in dollar in the month of September. That's exactly how it moved. Last week as well it moved higher after breaking a trend line and then created a bearish pattern. Now what?

EURUSD has been moving down in September but last week, it ended on an indecision. In this multi timeframe top-down analysis we see what caused that and how can we build a trading plan around it for good opportunities.
