morning guys again. hmm i still collecting alot red pips. gosh. $200 worth of red pips. i am still bad at this. trying to get the right strategy to do this. was previously switching to stoch but with little results. BBMA can spot the price faster but really need PA to help. i really cannot spot that PA at most. higher TF moment is impt too. I could still b missing smth.

My steps now is
1. spot major turning point as SR in D1 and H4
2. spot smaller SR in H1/M30
3. see if BB is ranging or getting huge volatility.
4. range market i will enter when price close within top/low for reversal
5. huge volatility i will enter if price retest and did not close past the last lowest/highest n within BB.
i am poor in spotting PA tho. is my step wrong?

need more study how market play or chandlesticks/pattern play. that can help us more at trading..

Hey hamstertranc, just thought id give you my thoughts as a fairly new trader. No, I don't think you are doing anything wrong. But what I can tell you is that trading is very very random. I personally just look at support and resistance and keep things simple. But it doesn't always work. I believe that if you just stay calm (dont get upset when you loose, dont brag and celebrate when you win), and manage your money well, you will stay in the game longer which in turn will let you learn more! Just as a side note I have one big personal rule... the day I stop enjoying this is the day I will quit. Hope this helps

i think you just missing a small piece of luck...
1- watching the PA during frankfurt, london and us open
2- if you follow BBMA rules/code you can easy to take REE
3- on HTF observe on LWMA hi/lo retest and bounce
4- PA should moving away on 50ema if BBMA rules
5- last akim set up can easy to follow, but patience is the key...
always check on each TF during trading hours don’t just stick on entry low TF... also during opening of new sesion there’s always shake and bake before the correct direction prevail...
don’t lost patience buddy...

My 1.5 cents on this. What I do is:

- On the weekend I delete all my S/R lines and draw new ones from W, D and H4. I only bother on big changing points. Yes, I miss trades but I feel those are safer.

- Comes wednesday I look at H4 S/R of the past two days.

I dont really bother with H1 or lower tbh, I feel that everything becomes too messy and you need to be very very good at knowing which ones are gonna hold. Akim is a master at it, Im not. All you need to build an account are 2 good trades a day if you are managing your risk very conservatively.

Good Unemployment numbers = positive for Dow.. Negative for DXY.. Positive for GU..

Thanks for encouragement! I think trading really test my perseverance. I'm still fighting hard each day trying to be patience to gain back my thousands of pips!

I dun brag. i did win pips (LUCK) as well but lose back more. Money management is super important the longer i am in this trading game. Hard not to get upset at heart but im trying not to let it become vengeful trading even at the slightest. I felt that the moment i have this "feeling/thinking" of let's try to get red pips back in next trade, i will usually end up more red pips. Honest confession here that i still fall to this trap!

I have a question here. In fact alot! I might post more qns if i have. I am trying to read past post. Its challenging at times trying to read and find the relevant chart in the past. sorry if im posting alot here in image attachment. I should add 50 EMA into the picture? above 50 bullish while below is bearish? hmm.

I do my SR on weekend only now. adding new ones on daily basis in morning when i wake up. You've made a super good point. instead of making multiple trade like crazy dog, i should make 2 good trades a day. minimize trading frequency!

Im gonna assume a few things on that screenshot but before we continue, I dont really follow the BBMA rules per se. Im assuming we are on the bullish side and Im assuming the blue line is your support. Im also gonna assume that the rectangle is in an area of interest, the fact that you highlighted makes me think so.

First setup : Assuming rectangle is in an area of interest just wait for bullish candle to close and put limit orders at the bottom of it or close to support

Second setup : Price got rejected at first setup, therefore becomes support. Again, Im assuming it is an area of interest. Not sure it would have been filled and if it did
Im not sure it would be a BE or a loss trade.

Third setup : Blue line is support right? Then it is a perfect one.

I personally only take them when they are like the 3rd one. But I havent been trading this way very long. I used to trade H4 and Daily following the trend, buying high and selling higher. Been following this thread for about a month, trading this for about 2 weeks now. I opened a second trading account and transferred 700usd from my main account. It is sitting at 2200usd today. Not confident enough yet to trade with my 65k account.

as BBMA rules... yes you should have 50ema...
bullish when 50ema under BB
bearish when 50ema above BB
