So you can have other EA trades or manual trades and the EA will ignore those and not affect those operations.

Hi all, new member here. I will be testing Xmess Ea going forward. One thing weird on my ICMarket MT4 after loading both Xmess EA v44 and Indicator v8 on EU M15 chart, the green box on top right corner doesn't show up. Is this normal Xmess?. All the smiley face did show up no issue with no error shown in expert tab or journal. Setting are all default except for magic number, minimum pips to trigger. Server is GMT +3 Icmarket Demo 1 for now and I'm at GMT +8. Currently market is close so the indicator is showing GMT offset server hours +9 which i believe is wrong and will correct itself once market open.

Ok, if you look at pg1, no where does it say that when the TP of a pending filled order is hit that the market order should also be closed.
I see your point but according to the original rules this is not explicitly spelled out. What is spelled out is that once the 1st market order hits TP then if a pending order is filled that too is to be closed. When the individual SL/TP settings were introduced this was more for user flexibility with the idea that the original approach would be utilized. Also not "INDIVIDUAL" which to a sort means INDEPENDENT. Thus therefore the user takes on a risk when cause they are "modifying" the approach by using the individual SL/TP settings.

I'll need to see what is the easier way to code something like where the user can tell the EA, when to close out the trades.

For now you can use the basket SL/TP which will control the overall profit.

Thanks Jess, will run quick test on Monday when markets are open and report back my findings.

PS, all clear on pending orders and individual TP levels behaviour. This is no issue to me and should be no issue to anyone as sensible people set basket targets

Thanks for Fibo based pending orders update on v44.

1) But - can we have this an option and not hardcoded? I have been using my own multiple pending orders based on the PendingGridDistance and PendLotSize option as in v42. Has been working out very nicely when needed.

2) How can user control the number of pendings triggered with Fibo approach in v44?

Perhaps just to add 3 separate toggles to trigger Fibo based pending orders:

PendingFibo_0_100=true/false

PendingFibo_23_123=true/false

PendingFibo_38_138=true/false

User can then select which & how many Fibo based pending order levels to use. And PendMultiplier would define...well, pending multiplier


EDIT: 3) Just tested live. In v44 the EA will not accept manually inserted deals with magic number zero. This is an quite big issue as sometimes I have added some deals into already open basket and let LC manage it. Please put this option as it was in v42. Much appreciated!

I see that you are doing something that is not part of the original approach:
Original approach:
1. open charts at 1600 GMT
2. Open trade for buy if price is within zone (00-23.6) or sell if price within zone(74.6-100)
3. Place buylimit at zone(23.6) or selllimit at zone (100).
4. Place all corresponding stops as instructed on page 1.

That is the core approach... Now the only discretion is that the trader has the option to close order or move limit levels as they see fit.

It seems that you are trying to do the following:
1. follow 1-2 as above
2. manually enter a trade (where there would of been a limit buy or sell)

What you mean as that you will LEARN how to use the EA .
The testing was already done back in 2018. LOL.

According to your screenshot the EA was removed.
I recommend you place the EA on a single chart
and indicator on another chart, then just change symbols on the other chart.

I plan to add symbol buttons that will allow the EA to display pairs on the same chart, but that is for later. (You can see a working example of this with the xm7_Magic100 EA)

Please go to the Github site. There I have several videos showing how the EA operates and some of the input features.

1. Yes, I would like you to revert changes what you did in v43, these changes made EA not recognise manually entered deals when Magic number in EA was set at 0. Here is your comment on v43:

EA UPDATE v43

Hi folks. I updated the code so that when you enter MagicNumber=0 the EA ignores any other trades that were open manually or open by another EA with MagicNumber=0.

It is really best to combine manual trading with EA sometimes, so please do not remove this functionality. User should have option to add manual trades at will and EA to pick these deals up in the basket management, when magic no=0 is selected at EA.

2. No this is not about manual trading at limit order levels. Limiit order levels are controlled by EA - either using Fibo levels or using PendingGridDistance setting. What I asked is to ensure that both options are available:

A) Set pending orders based on 3 Fibo levels, which can be individually selected.

PendingFibo_0_100=true/false
PendingFibo_23_123=true/false
PendingFibo_38_138=true/false

B) Set pending orders based on PendingGridDistance setting.

Hi Ilvez,
I clarify here my manual intervention proactice, EA v42.
Manual intervention is needed when at GMT16:00 there are only 1-2 pairs fulfilled the criteria. Then I check if there are are some valid setup after some 10-15 min, if yes then I step in and it works.

with my Dashboard EA it is total easier...... I can make the order with one click on the dashboard and close the order and close all and close auto
with Basket it is the TP from the order or the TP from the Basket is reached

LOL I still do not understand.

By nature the EA will ignore any order that does not have the same magic number associated to it.
So if you want a manual trade to be recognized by the EA then you have to set the magic number of that manual trade to that of the EAs magic number.

But you are correct, I did make it more specific, such that NOW you not only need the SAME magic number but also a comment that includes this text "xm7_LC".
If interested I have a script that will allow you to set both the magic number and the comment, but I think you can do this in the manual MT4 trade entry.

Thanks, we are on same page now Can you kindly in future releases of London Close remove this additional magic number zero + "xm7_LC" comment limitation for manual trades? Usual practice is that magic no ZERO is picked up by EA-s, if the EA magic no is also set at ZERO. Trade comment is not a good variable as the brokers can modify it.

Why is it so important? The way I use LC EA is together with manual trading - when EA opens say 2 pairs only, I flip thru the pairs and trigger some more based on the Fibo criterias or my own judgement. Now I cant basically do that.
