Any CFD's trader in here....indices CFD's>>>>in here?(nas100,us30,Spx500,Germ30,uk100,aus200 etc)

haha...just read the INTITIATION SPEECH opening this thread ,and i like the Mt4/MT5 speech/"eulogy", its funny as heck...it reminds me of 2 types of traders..

Trader A: 6 screens, rarely makes 1.5mill. usd a year total, minus commissions+broker fees and under the impresion he/she is the best thing out there, thinking he makes more money than anyone out there+ also always under the perception his more advanced than trader b.

Trader B: Uses a laptop, doesnt even have a desktop,or uses 1 old one,but averages 54milli+ usd a year running multiple portfolios at 500k to 1 milli initial balances starting each year, under ten +/_ mt4/mt5 accounts...held with small to medium sized retail brokers, and uses multi terminals to manage each account/multiple mt4/5 accounts all at once positions and thinks he is a small time perfomer or trader.

I answered you in Dutchy Daxy's thread. By the way I use a laptop that was top of the line in 2013 so I would be trader B except for the profit

Hi,

Yes trading them daily (Tech 100, HK- HS50, FTSE100, US Tech100, Wall Street) in addition to forex & commodities. A heck of a lot more action there recently than FX :-)

Here are my 2 bits. First trading the FTSE these days is a complete waste of time because the ATR is too low. Second leaving a trade open overnight may lead to less profit or even losses when you open your chart the next morning.

Yes Hutch. Trading FTSE is like watching paint dry in comparison to DAX.

In general I try to scalp a bit on the open, but did pretty well in November buying up the dips for longer periods of time. I just went through my FTSE trades this month and found about 20k in profits, so not a complete waste of time :-)

Well done! As for me I now avoid the FTSE until the ATR becomes higher. I suspect this will happen when Brexit has been concluded.

I always say do what works best for you... I took a few Dax trades today, but strictly on technicals. I shy away from most things I’m not familiar with.

Your expecting a touch? Only in the futures so far. I would bet on a huge pop once this level is broken. A short into 30200 maybe, but why fight the trend?

That's funny! Well he seems like a nice guy anyway, although I haven't really read through much of the thread. I'm located in the APAC time zone, but trade the markets around the clock. Nice to meet you guys!!

Forum communities like these are very helpful for me for building my intraday tactics. I have been learning a lot about this and similar forum threads. It would be great if someone could share with me other reading material too that could prove to be helpful for intraday trading.
