it all depends on your trade plan imo and you need to find what suits you. I was trading over 3 lots for a while but found it very stressful so halved it and found i was making more pips and better more rational decisions. I trade for a living and need to withdraw money for my family so i cannot always let an account grow and reduce risk. that happens over time. so my risk and return percent is higher than others but i only open one trade at a time (except today for first time in two years and i quickly closed it)

On all my 6 pairs, which I think are the same as yours, the H4 is currently counter to the D1.

To be honest I don't look that far out very much. I tend to look at M30 and H1 and very occasionally H4, but that's about it. I do note that the 6 pairs are messing about in a pretty tight range so far since Tokyo open, and it's hard to gain any traction in the market when the PA behaves like this. There's no hurry though.....
