GA EP on retrace of that M15 vertical purple line.. SL was only 11p, RR=9x... close it.. haha.. btw GU=-10p...

hmm... more of a subjective answer, based on one's own personality, preference, experience (useful screen time, not just plain watching charts moving, thats wasting time), fears and greed.... so don't expect 1 definite answer k... take what you think is useful for you.. be open minded..

Currency pair:

learn from
->(a rephrase btw) akim0895 : only max 2-3 main pairs will do and trade the volatile pairs
->(a rephrase btw) emmanuel7788 : choose the most beautiful chart

i have all GBP pairs charts and EJ open.. GA n GN are like twins.. GC n GSGD another twin.. so does EJ n GJ.. GF and EG.. so i when i trade minimal i see 2 charts, just like GU and DXY.. choose which one has more beautiful HTF PA, except GU(definitely trade this instead of DXY)... gold stuff will be added in the future.. haha

TF: see MN-M15.. ->learn this from akim0895 and emmanuel7788
in the end: choose the most beautiful TF for EP (mostly M15/M30/H1).. haha
personally, sometimes, much less often though, i even use M5 to EP when PA just fly..

Structure(+SR zone):
well this is not a one straight answer either.. as a cumulative experience, sometimes we do not need to annotate it, as time passes, just see and will know..

several choices of structures: ( i have NO affiliation n read only the freely posted stuff, i do not pay anything for those)
1. The way akim0895 draws levels and note direction on HTF etc... i better not rephrase it, you have to read akim0895 and LeongPuiy countless very useful posts..

->personally i will always place it a few pips away, not fixed, not negotiable to leave it open... forex is a marathon, if my account is not blown today, everyday is a new day and for sure there will always be opportunities tomorrow...

i transitioned from traditonal BUEB/BUOB, pin, after breakout, don't enter on consolidation bla3 stuff for EP, to akim''s pattern n bbma which is EP on retest and entering on lower/upper limit of consolidation(depends on HTF perceived direction), catching the much hated top/bottom bla3 stuff..

i use them in no fixed way, more accurately and importantly i believe in EP on split lots.. (also based on akim0895 and emmanuel7788)
there is no indicator that can perform better than candlestick and volume for EP... all are more lagging than those 2..

TP and SL:
really depends on fear and greed mentioned above, depends on your long term trade history too...
eveyone is uniqely different...
but definitely there is 1 thing that i totally take akim0895's words very strongly (a rephrase btw): if one is not greedy, it is easy to make green pips..
and emmanuel7788's posts about RR and positive expectancy.. (search them using FF search box)

i ask myself this questions.. analyse my trades every 20 trades..
for GA, potential RR: i may be wrong right, but i have to know the potential TP... i mean who enters the trade if the potential TP:SL ratio is very bad...
-would i enter on BUO/EB H1 / BUO/EB M15?
-would i place SL below the most recent low / place below SonicR PVA green candle which according to calculation has the largest VxS for past 10 candles or the largest average tick volume for the past 10 candles times 2?
-> ultimately for me it is about RR... eg on H1 BUE/OB maybe get 2R with SL on the lowest recent point... M15 BUE/OB get 3R... but entering on retrace on M15 BUOB, i may missed, or i may be wrong 2-3x, but potential result gets me >5R.. haha... so i choose this for GA...
-> and we know from experiences of others posts getting 2R is difficult... but try using akim's style / BBMA retrace... getting 2/3R is doable...

if i remember correctly (you have to read those guys posts) -> note both trade uniquely...
->(a rephrase btw) akim0895 : 70% winning rate, learning to scalp first before swing trade..
->(a rephrase btw) emmanuel7788 : 45% winning rate and positive expectancy of 2

personally, once, i was trading TMSr stuff, EP was very very very late compared to now.. but nevertheless the method definitely works... my winning rate for that methos alone was like 20% but i was like +1.8R (something like that).. not using it as EP anymore

so yup, it totally depends on your personality, experience, fear and greed... i don't mind getting hit early than late, missing the moves and going to LTF to chase it.. hahahaha.. depends on circumstances k, not always...

Colourful Candles:
oh another one... haha.. the colourful candles... SonicR PVA candles.. based on candle ranges and volumes.. there is a thread for it... free indicator MT4 and MT5 version available.. search the thread yourself using FF search box.. use it blindly and it will kill you... but use it with knowledge, will add an edge...

i kind of sucks and lazy to think about volume... why? because i think akim0895 and emmanuel7788 don't use it... but volumes even though only tick volume, it definitely works.. search them yourselves k.. so i use that indicator...

also i knew that indi from a past contributor to this thread too.. he earns consistently using his stuff... unfortunately he in my view not open minded.. so yup bla3..

MA:
i use ma50 and ma200 less often now... but it works and i have known it the longest and bbma uses ema50.... haha... so i just leave it there...

Trendline bla3 and patterns:
i seldom use it, but beginning to take notice since very interesting COmar.FX posts...

oh i have another template for Daily Pivot Point, Weekly Pivot Level, Daily Open Line, Weekly Open Line and Monthly Open line... but i seldom use it now... usually for TP.. if even i see it, i see only at a glance, something like that... oh that GA interesting retrace in the midpoint for for DPP and R1 (many useful posts by kette) and yup i consult that template for 1 second... also the combination of time which is mt22:00 on potential resistance see H4 that single candle to the left... trade confluence and what make sense to you, and then include my view about fear and greed as well my trade history, so i exit..



Lastly but i think more important is that akim0895's words(a rephrase btw): if other's are afraid, he trains himself not to be afraid of the volatile pairs and scary moving candlestick moves.. very cool huh.. [i think: which is beneficial actually if you consider trading based on exhaustion(many useful posts by RickM)...]

so.... haha... it is too subjective to a certain extent... but manual trading is unless algo trading..
