please try to think why did you posted this question
other traders profitable strategies can be and often is a self imposed trap
MA 200 and others MA like ma50 are commonly used but you need to do your own work
PA and structure of HH /HL and reverse also to be considered
I am not sure about anything re trading apart of SL. especially when entering a new trade on any TF

If you trade on H1 dont watch daily highs and lows they dont matter such like on smaller timeframes

Hi,

First of all, I'd like to thank you, Laura, for providing this much value!! Also, I'd like to thank everyone else who, based on their own experience and knowledge, made this thread a real gem..

Been lurking for a while now, and definately decided to start trading by reading the chart in the way Laura explained.
I made about 20 trades in the last 2 days, and my score is neutral, which is awesome, since I'm testing it for the first time..

Here are my trades, they're a bit more conservative than I'd like them to be, but since it's the beginning, I didn't want to rush it..
Feel free to comment on them, we're all here to learn..

Once again, thank you, Laura!!

I would say any time frame will work. I have placed trades spotted on the 1 and 4 hour charts see Post 2,662.

Working very odd hours lately however i was at least able to place two trades yesterday and get them closed today. Now off to catch some Z's

Alright here I go!! These are just my opinions whether I'm right, wrong or just lucky.. I don't know...But I always like feedback

GPB/USD
1. To me price was slowing down and failing to hit the ADR.
2. The New York session had just begun and it's Friday. In my opinion price often retraces toward the end of the day on Friday. I was thinking it might hit the ADR low
3. Im scared and don't wont to loose my precious pips

USDJPY
1. Hit resistance on the daily
2. Double Whammy/1-2 punch. (if it hits 3 times I call it the the 1-2 punch, uppercut ) I think the TheG-Lover calls it the "Fade" and turnip15 called it the 2B

When it comes to checking the charts. It's whenever I get a chance. I don't have a consistent schedule in my line of work so I am unable to see the charts at any set times. I may go a week without being able to look even once. Other times i may be able to check in 4-5 times a day or even sit in front of a computer for a few hours. Pretty much I use my secret weapon (My wife). She will keep an eye throughout the day on a few chosen pairs for the week and message me to check any setups she sees or if she thinks i should close a trade. If I'm lucky I manage sneak away for a few minutes by putting my part time ninja skills to use and place a trade or close a position. I think soon with this road map my wife will be the one calling the shots.

I did and have been working on this strategy on the hourly timeframe to get my daily TP done and over with before closing out the entire charts for the day.

I haven't posted in while (personal commitments). Wanted to post a quick update on my daily chart trades I took on June (demo account).

29th July

Will post again once all the trades are closed, but wanted to point out a few observations (nothing new, just a reminder):

1) Daily trading is slow and boring
2) Can have large drop downs
3) If you have the patience to stick with it the rewards can be big

I have posted the trades, but in all honesty I don't know if they match the criteria for the Roadmap. I may try a shorter time frame to get more confidence that I am trading according to the Roadmap. Then I can move up to daily? Need to give this some thought.

Thanks dbsdsun - agree.

I will switch to a shorter time frame once the current trades close out. Hopefully that and posting setups will help me understand any mistakes I may be making.

In last 2 weeks I made 14 trades on M5 timeframe. Results attached in image, I think they are awesome. Last 2 days no entries for me and I am watching 10 fx pairs All things what I am watching did not aligned perfectly... so acting patient, entries will come. Can be summer time.

Here are trades that were closed and/or executed today..

Today was a big red day, I don't know what to add.. Look at the charts and ask whatever you want, I'm here to answer (why I put sl/tp on those spots, etc..)..
By answering to your questions, I guess I'll figure out even better where were my mistakes..
I know that my SLs weren't placed far enough from my entries, so I didn't make space for price to move enough until it would hit my TPs..
I'm experimenting every day, so I could figure out where are my mistakes and how to correct them in the future..

NOTE: I'm new to this type of ''reading'' charts, so my red days don't prove that this ''doesn't work''.. It just proves that I'm a lousy trader, haha.. I'm posting it to pay respect to Laura and everyone who contributes to this thread..
I have a lot to learn, but I can say that I'm feeling a lot more comfortable with forex charts now, than I was before trying out Laura's ''roadmap''..

Once again, feel free to ask anything, and to correct me on everything you think I misunderstood, we're all here to learn!!

Not for me. Just had a major work project that prevented me from trading with any regularity during much of July.
Started back trading this week from 4am-7am central US time. Off to a good start still with Roadmap as the backbone.
10 trades , 8 winners and net of 85 pips.
