I missed the opportunity scalping the bear thinking a little more higher before it will pullback. Some already profited slowly diminishing. My intention of posting this is for mistouting... I can already guess what's on your mind.... Why not lock in and re-enter? Lol.

Closed my long earlier and made some short pips on a hopes of a 1000 pip reversal jk

no do in the fight just yet...the bears didnt make it to the 1h chart but they were trying as NY closed....ill wait watch price action or for your next call

Yes I am still long. Like I said before, I am day trading the bull and scalping the bear(pullback).

Regarding the "Lock in re-enter". It is easy to see when after the fact. But in reality, it is a guessing game. We are guessing if it is the top or bottom at the moment and a pullback/retracement is about to happen, then flip for continuation. I admit... I do that! And it is a good account multiplier. But you should know when and not to use SL, be aware of current market behavior and the ADR and average pip(trend,range,pullbacks) etc... cheers!

You need more time observing the market behavior. You will understand that for sure. But it is for the traders, after weighing the pros and the cons and depending on what methodology you are using, strategy you are implementing, personality as a trader, etc,etc..

Any thought on the Trailing Stop function? We are safe for small/ moderate pull back, but will protect our profit when there is a reversal.

Trailing stop loss is effective tool. But like i said, depending on what method/strategy you are using. It is a double edge sword. You might miss opportunity when it get hit. So it is important to be aware of the situation (averages, current trend, fuel/news) etc.

Example of market condition that I don't use stop loss. When market is ranging sideways. A lot of traders hate this, boring. But it is actually my favorite. It is easy to win, hard to lose. How? I don't use SL, coz it will only get hit. It goes up and down, if you caught in the middle or inder water, wait.. chances are, it will go back. Remember, it is in range.
