Both the Stoch and RSI which the TDI is based on, are oscillators. Oscillators work well in ranging market conditions but not when market is trending both tends to remain in either overbought or oversold regions longer. There is some good material posted in FF on the hwo to trade with momentum indicators like the stochastics and RSI oscillators. I will look for them and post the links this weekend. Post#647 is a rather vague and to develop our own trading systems, we have to write down specifications to what these are when we look at our charts. How close am I to the previous high or lo Am I in an uptrend or downtrend.. short & long term... Am I in or close to a consolidation area Are the previous candles small... Look at the candles on the last reversal... big, little, what 1) do you have a consistent approach to identify previous high(s) and low(s). 2) do you adopt a consistent approach in defining market trends, do you use triple screen technique ( Dr Alex Elder') or simply just 2 screens is enough.Is 3 screen really better than 2 screens? 3) how do we define consolidation area? what is the approach? how reliable is that approach? etc. 4) about previous candles, how many candles is previous? how small is small? 5) last reversal candles - these can easily be defined with common price action type reversal. .. 2 bars reversals, 3 bars reversal, etc. no need to go beyond 5-bars reversal. Study old charts and you can count them all. I have done all these above with several members and we went on to develop TMS-II and that is why I have all these "INSIDE BARS", "POP GUNS", "ENGULFING CANDLES" , "MASTER CANDLE", "MOTHER BAR", DOUBLE INSIDE BARS, "BUEB/BEEB", BUOB/BEOB", "WRB", "WCC", etc. I can make trade decisions easier , I know where the previous high - low, I know where the consolidation area is, I see small candles as Inside Bars, I see momentum candle as either Engulfing and Outside Bars, etc. This is my approach - tested and proven since 2012 till now 2020 with more than 5,000 trades completed. I pick only the best setups and trade with oscillators like the Stochastisc and RSI. But I also missed many trades with this approach....

Of course FakeTrader Aranea can't focus on what he asked. He is so "out of it" from all of the psycho-active drugs that his doctor prescribed that spinning has become his normal! When he forgets to take his medication--which we can see here from most of his postings is often--he crashes hard as his spinning stops and he is in such a state of confusion that he doesn't know up from down nor left from right. So really, it is clear why he his SO PROUD of achieving the 65% TMS BEGINNER's success after eight long years! He is proud each day that he is able to successfully tie his shoes! He was able to graduate to that high level after several years of successful and repeated operation of the Velcro straps on his shoes like those on shoes of 3-year olds.
