yeah, i’m trying to understand if it’s only experience based or is something alce. I mean, did you guys had a gut feeling that is not going to drop or was What monty said? And if it was Pa and market conditions, please explain the pa and market conditions. Was the bull very agressive, or did you see some patterns of candles? I mean, you have 3 cathegories, patterns that you are mostly inclined to belive that they will work ( around 70%), patterns that you test and you don’t know exactly if they will work or not (50%) and patterns that you don’t even consider because of something (<50%). What’s that something?

I also went short on gold twice and it all hit my stop loss. Clearly there's something that we are missing.

there are a lot of things to lookout as per PA and market conditions. I cannot summarize those levels why its a failed setup....But in general, the edge you looking for comes by Experience and knowledge, setup, and the target you chasing matters... In general for gold.... monthly, weekly, daily all indicating long to me plus any dip was picked up right away so even i took a short my target was based on the momentum..... Just now took a long tp 1509 +++

Ok. So to summerize, if the pair is bullish or bearish on bigger time frames is more likely that the patterns will work in that direction. I consider this being an important thing because I kinda knew this and it’s really obvious but I never took the time to set it up in my mind. And at each level I was able to take good entries and could have made some pips but I was not considering them as scalps, so I lost some pips on them. Even now I had a short from 1814 with Sl at Be and I haven’t closed it thinking that the market will turn. Thank you guys!

Akim and Leong, I have a question. Why didn’t you go short at 1786, 1795, 1803 or 1815? They all had pattern. They all were previous holding points. But for some reason you didn’t even test them. I took shorts at everyone but they failed. What am I missing?

or you just open your monthly time frame then look at bigger view..you will see it..
