I got out at +30 with the trailing stop..my target was another 10-11 pips higher so no damage

Dammit! It's for exactly that reason that I don';t use trailing stops. I can see them being somewhat useful on (maybe) H4 and Daily charts, but not much else.

Hope it works out for you. I'm happy with money in the bank. I'm comfortable being out with a good gain as I was fearful that the sudden up move WAS a spike. Yesterday's trials are fading.

Thanks!! I hope that the back is broken on the messy PA too, but we'll have to wait and see. 'One sunny day does not a summer make' as my old Dad would have said!! I'll try and have a look in at Tokyo tomorrow, but if not, we'll all see during Frankie / London / NY tomorrow if we're clear of the crap or not.

Hi Kanderpro. I really don't want to get too involved with the "why" on this thread. But here is a EU H1 chart. What do you see? Its not 100% of what I see, but it's part of it.

It got to 1.1428, about +10 pips, then took a dump back to 1.13338. I got out @ 1.13379 for +6 pips. Today I reached my financial target for last week. So I am only a couple of days behind on that. That's pretty good. It's a lot easier to go for a monthly pip target. With the trading fees the money doesn't add up to the pip totals anyway. Today I have +38 pips. Monday was+39, and yesterday, Tue, was +plus 14. I'd like to get 30 pips a day, but it doesn't always work out. But or the last 3 days I have +91 pips, average is 30 per day. I'm pretty happy about that.

Good going there!! My target is also 30 pips / day, but that's not so much as a daily target, more of a monthly average. I almost always works out that way too, but last month was a little bit under. That's where the old saying of 'cut the losses short, let the winners run' comes into play (for me anyway). I won't hold a loss for long and I won't let a profitable trade turn negative.

Re your chart:
I'm no good with the histogram on the bottom.
There's been just about a 4-day channel, slightly down from the horizontal. The distance to the top of it has been diminishing from the successive swing lows, making an ascending triangle, the bottom edge of which could be the bottom edge of a new upward channel. The most recent potential swing low we spotted started above the mid-line of the 4-day channel - a good sign for a break. Your target of 1.1353 is around the mid-line of the new upward channel.
If your eyes see something I don't, please send me a short message.

It's 3.10am Thursday here, and it's a chilly 4 degrees. So I think it's sleepy time for me. Some good pips today for us, lets hope it continues.

I'm thoroughly enjoying this thread rj. So far, there has been no rubbishing or bickering. I know you wouldn't tolerate that, but no-one's even started. I wonder if there's something about public scrutiny of ALL one's trades that keeps away those that run off at the mouth?

Your trading style is different than mine and I don't want to mess you up. I'm certainly not suggesting that you do as I do. I was just answering the question you asked. I mean no disrespect, but I don't want to give trading advice to the members here. You have your own style and you understand it. I'm wrong someties too, and I would feel terrible if you got jammed up in something because of me.
