The way I trade is probably seen as swing trading. I seek long term positions that I can stack in the direction of the monthly chart.

I use 4Hr for direction intraday with 30M for entry.

Entry doesnt matter as long as the MACD is underneath 0 level on the 30M and the 4HR is above 0 (forlongs) and opposite for sells.

I trade very low risk so if I wanted to trade 1 lot I would trade 10x 0.10 lots and let them grow.

Because I trade DAX too, I am a pro at getting in with minimal drawdown and setting trades to BE+1.

70% of my entries close at loss or break even but my runners give me unlimited profit almost.

Unless I'm testing something, I trade both ways and I use the average price indicators to do so.

If its uptrend, I'll let my BUY trades run as long as possible. Whereas my SELL trades are classed as daily profit.

This has worked for me massively and I wont change a thing other than lasering my entries but thats just me being fussy...

TP is based on weekly pivots if I choose to.

SL, I try to get in and set to break even asap. Its natural for me to do that cos of DAX and I wont change it.

Just remember, entry is irrelevant. If you trade low risk and in 4 months market goes up 1000 pips. Doesnt matter where you bought from as long as you know where the trend is going and dont get yourself into unnecessary drawdown.

EDIT: I didn't answer some questions but it wasnt on purpose. I like to follow a compounding strategy. I.e £500 account - £1 a pip with 0.13 lot. 500 pips doubles account so I focus on getting 500 pips per week or 2 to double account. I've done this many times before. (if anyone needs help PM me).

I dont keep track of winners and losses as they mean nothing to me, I'ts raw pip profit that I care about and I allow myself 1 month to gein 500 pips to double my account.

Each week, if I achieve my target I withdraw the money & start fresh wiith £500 unless Im bored.

My main thing with compounding is gain 500 pips with 0.13 lot to double account. Then double up again and so on.

I.e 500 - 1000, 1000 -2000, 2000-4000, 4000-8000, 8000 - 16000, 16000 - 32000 and so on

But wait a min...do i understand correctly....you lose 70% of your trades?

I don't understand the BE+1.70% and the 10x0.10 is that 1 lot?

I get how swinging is profitable, letting those things run when the market is trending is smooth sailing! But times like this swinging hasn't returned much

you hold a trade for a month your lucky to get 90 pips?

REALLY like that idea of avoiding drawdown...just BE and get back in NICE!

You're reading wrong.

I focus on getting into trades that can run the full length of the leg.

My entry is irrelevant. I focus on getting in when there is volume so that I minimise DD.

As soon as I get into say 10 pips profit I set to break even and forget about it.

My job is to get into as many positions on a leg as possible. If I usually trade 1 lot, I'll trade 10 x 0.1 lot over time of the leg.

If a move lasts 500 pips long tern, I'll have a position every 25 - 50 pips.

Therefore, I can take 1000 pips out of say, a 300 pip move.

Your broker must be happy with your trading style, paying them commission.
Only an idiot knows with certainty to where the market is going.

I think it got it.

I really appreciate you sharing, I got some good info from that.... I know about trail stop but never used it much with my trading style.... But if I can maximize my entry better that would give me less draw down and I could trail stop.... But some sort of pull back is inevitable it seems

I have held positions when I rack up pips and know the maker will continue trend... But I might look into using weekly and monthly to swing

Just scalping is more money

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral for the moment and outlook is unchanged. On the downside, break of 1.1168 will target 38.2% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.1422 at 1.1121. Sustained break there will argue that whole rebound from 1.0635 has completed and bring deeper fall to 61.8% retracement at 1.0936. On the upside, break of 1.1348 will likely resume the rise from 1.0635 through 1.1422 to 1.1496 key resistance.

Was referring to xkwisit re trade and forget with 10 open position. if it takes months and price just fluctuates then most profit goes to broker.

Sounds about right, never seen it lower than about $1.20 or so. Some others, like NZD/USD, is probably the "cheapest"... maybe around $.70

Good day! Bad Euro news and good US news can bring the EURUSD down to 1.1220-25 and the opposite EURUSD up to 1.1287-1.1300-06. I don't see well news for it, but I believe that it will get its support somehow.

It's LO session yet, better don't talk for big moves until the real volatility comes back later.

Based on H4 , it's in the top of the channel and I expect it to go down towards 1.124ish.
I'm just a newbie trying to learn
