Still on the weekly chart it’s worth taking a look at Ichimoku, showing a rejection of Chikou span below the cloud.

Hello and welcome.
BK8 did make a change in the strategy to that the setting for sma is 5 shift 0. Am not able to explain and have not tested the difference in the systems.

First, Filipo these are really beautiful charts. Clean, attractive and easy to study.

Secondly, your use of the 24, 52,9 on the D1 is very interesting. I have seen this before and just moved on, but now seeing you utilizing these MACD settings I know it is time for a deeper look.

Thirdly, and most notable to me is your chikou span observation. Even many who use (some of) the Ichimoku system often disregard the CS, but pay attention everyone when it pops above (or below) price. Your use is doubly interesting where you note the rejection at the kumo by the CS. I have never seen anyone write about that before. Thanks for sharing your observation, and a very good one at that.

Finally, I think you are right. It is always useful to do a check of the Ichimoku in your trade evaluations.

It has not been easy for any trader - what ever strategy - we are using- I think lately. . The less explosive chocking pair for me has been Gbpusd. So calm decisions and following the diverse timeframes has worked the best for me. But no we will just have to wait and study charts. Well I'll stop here unless I start talking and fill up the thread. All the best.

The moment of truth for EURUSD.
The Bollinger middle band can be tricky. I took half of my profit here, the remaining position is at break even.
I will certainly re-enter short if the pair closes well below the middle band and possibly 61.8 Fibonacci due to the obvious divergence with MACD.
