We're going to 1.134 this week! I went long, I held long, still holding.......
I'm trying to focus on my trading edu (looking at programs, mentorships most seem scammy but there are some legit folks too)
Trying to trade this pair on longer term time frames......yet it seems the EUR/USD pair is a market where if you
can take advantage of short term opportunities as they present themselves thought this is tricky as one soon tends to overtrade.

Same with EAs. There is (probably) no (affordable) expert advisor that under certain conditions and entries will raise the white flag.
The advantage of an EA though is, that it does not get nervous nor greedy.
Let's see, where the EURUSD will head to on the last two days of the month. As always there are indications for both directions.

Only if you are using too much leverage and lack the common sense to set boundaries.

But the idea of having two accounts is a good one. Unfortunately, some of us have to have two accounts because our hands are tied by stupid FIFO rules.

who fkn cares. You have bold to post that kind of stuff then predict it before hand and post it here so we can all learn. I post as I enter and if I am wrong, so be it. But I will not post the aftermath because it tends to lead to false calls.
That being said.
I kept memories of what people said. I don’t remember who said it. From what I remember someone say we could he seeing new upper levels this week. And since 1.1190/1.1165 is holding. I believe this Thursday will decide the make it or break it moment.

Here is what you should do when you trade.
You identify which side you are on(bull or bear)
yes, you expected your analysis to be correct. But do not stop there. Question yourself, what if you are wrong? Dont just throw in tight sl for no reason... I see a lot of weird tight sl like.
“Gona take a risk here with 10pip sl.” Sometime I look at some post with weird sl and I can not figure out a damn reason why the market would let the sl slide or live.

One mistake I learn from is. After making my 60pips friday morning. I reload my buys around 1.1270... and sl was 1.1250 bc my analysis. And I said if it breaks, we going down. I decided to set my sl at 1.1235... in which it should have been 1.1240... but If I had follow through, I could have switch and sold and exit 1.1190.

my second mistake is, I enter buy at 1.1200 after seeing the 1.1190 bounce, I exit for 10pips being to scared when I could have just set sl to BE and let it run given that I was in a good area for long. Ended up with only 10pips (1.1210 my exit entree).

I feel that me being impatience cost a lot of opportunities. And it hurts hecause when you have an analysis and you dont stick to it, or you do not consider it... you end up regretting seeing how it play out.

let start a trend, we should every sunday before market opens, share our failures of the previous week. As a reminder so that we can improve.

I did say I have an idea of my new way of seeing the market. I will share it when I get a chance. Hopefully I can get some constructive/informative criticism on it from many great traders here.

Here's my take on the EURUSD market, from the technical perspective of a swing trader. Topping patterns are being formed on the daily time frame. Since last week Wednesday, bears have effected a southward mode but bulls are still much in the frame. Price action is presently around the 1.11720 horizontal support area (magenta). We should await how the area is handled by the market in the early part of this week. A strong bearish break on a daily closing basis may embolden sellers to push for the 1.09900 area (blue), whereas any bullish resurgence that bounces off the 1.11720 zone (magenta) may see a retest of the 1.13700 area.


I may be wrong. Trade safe and prosper.

I think I'm going to develop a new strategy with the number 1 rule being......."always take a position to hold over the weekend for next week's open"

I've been happy holding EUR/USD after Friday's closing and being in position for Sunday's open I don't know why so many traders insist on getting out before Friday's close? I understand the risk but this thing can go south or north during the week at anytime when a whale makes a buy/sell I think being positioned by Sunday could in the long term produce more winners than losers.

If scalping.....pulling 10 pips between Friday's close and say the first 5 hours or til Asia really gets going very well could be consistent.
will only look for buy chance and stacking it until end of year unless 1.1180 is confirm broken.

We should be continuing our up trend this week. Two levels to consider is 1.1248 on 4h chart and 1.1265 on the daily.

Well I just sold my position from last week tonight at 1.12459. I still think we’re heading up to 1.134 I just think that greed, fear, and risk management had me sell off with a 30 pip profit from holding over the weekend.

it really does take a lot of discipline to let your profits run and hold on so you can pull 100 pip profit off a trade but there’s a lot of emotions and doubts that start kicking in when you’re in profit you’re just not sure if things are going to go the other way fairly soon so you just cash out. I just keep saying to myself there’s nothing wrong with taking a profit even if you are missing out on some gains. I’m looking forward to taking a fresh look at these markets after a good nights sleep and see what London does when I get up here tomorrow.
