The USDJPY keeps oscillating around the 107.00 level without a clear direction, but the 106.00 level has been acting as a good support with the 200 day EMA at the 108.00 level acting as resistance.

We are in a range. Traps are often at the edges. They send price over known points of interest to excite people into thinking things are not what they are. If you use Fib levels watch the 70% level. It is used frequently because the consensus is that when price clears 62% retracement it is then a trend reversal.

I don't use indicators to enter trades, but it is good to see what those who do see because these indicators used to steer me wrong. As my sister loves to say.. "The masses are asses" Bottom line though.. No flag.. the game continues, and I don't yet see one. Lastly.. when the USD/JPY gets stuck as it did yesterday evening for hours... I have found that it is syncing.. or coming out of sync with the DOW. If you notice this morning we appear to be moving in tandem with the Dow.. whereas at the beginning of the week we were moving counter to it. The Dow had a bad day yesterday on the heels of Covid news. There is a high probability the news coming out will also be bad for the Dow. Also the 4th of July is coming. A famously positive week for the Dow. So.. IF we are following all these signs.. a trip to 106.16 thru 106.4 area and then on up to 109 area following the Dow next week. Or higher...

interesting observation with the DOW, i'll have to take a look. not as experienced with UJ as other pairs, been watching it, trying to see how it fits in with USD and equities in this ongoing risk on/off cycles. CA, AZ, TX is definitely bringing a reality check.

Me and the Dow used to be connected at the hip lol. Played the DOW for my first few years, and used to use UJ as an indicator for the Dow. I only switched to UJ because I couldn't afford the commission/spreads on the Dow. I now love it. I am self taught, so the little divergence, and syncing of pairs was something that gave me confidence. Eur/Usd vs USD/Jpy. XAUEUR vs 6J (Yen) to name a couple.

Will watch this level though. Could turn back south again. This could be opening bell shenanigans.

THE FLAG WAS REAL!! Wow. Didn't think it would be so quick. Hoping for another 1hr flag up here to send us back down. Definitely should have gotten off with you Neuron. I am glad though that I closed mine in profit, but I left a lot on the table ugh. Consolation is that Gold did the same thing to the downside and is now making it's way back up to where it started. This could have be a flush before we go south.

yea gave back some of the overnight pips with the second short gone wrong. the speed of this spike does smell a bit like a fake out, couldn't help but a small little revenge short. but mostly done for the week.
